The clouds in the sky split open as Ling Han and the muddle-aged man clashed. A stick and a long beautiful red sword clashed. Ling Han quickly stepped back after seeing his sword was going to cut through his stick.
At Ling Han level, the sharpness of a sword didn't matter anymore. His sword intent could allow him to make the dullest of blades into the sharpest.
Even a regular stick would become sharper than a sword, but the stick wouldn't be able to handle his power and slowly break over time.
Ling Han has to win this fight quickly before this stick could handle his strength anymore. Ling Han rushed forward, with all his attention forced on the sword,
in a blink of an eye, a week went by.
Ling Han suddenly raised his wooden stick into the sky. Sword's intent and sword Qi exploded off the stick, forming a domain-like thing around them.
"This is called sword domain, once trapped within here. your life is now in the palm of my hands." Ling Han said calmly as image of a sword appeared before the middle-aged man's neck.
"you really reached that level. The first person I have never seen to reach this level similar to this was my master." The middle-aged man said with a smile
"you pass the trial," He said as the red sword flew into Ling Han's hands, followed by a scabbard that looked as if it was made out of countless dragon scales.
"your master? was he the sect leader?" Ling Han asked as he carefully looked at the sword. It was a beautiful sword yet gave off a powerful sword intent. A normal human would cut into countless pieces if he died to touch this sword.
"My master..." The middle-aged man went quiet for a moment before a badge appeared on his hands. the badge had an image of a sword. An image seemed to play out in his mind as of the sword cutting open the sky.
"I'm from the Sword Emperor sect, a sect far from this small Galaxy. When I was young, I came here to adventure, and before long, 11 other Celestial Immortals and I created this world. A sect that went on to rule over this small galaxy..." He said with a smile
"This is my sect token. With your talent, you will soon leave this small galaxy to explore the bigger world. If by chance you ever come across the Sword emperor sect, give this token to my master. He will come to look at this here. He might be able to kill that woman we couldn't." he said softly
"... there is a realm above celestial immortal?" Ling Han asked quickly
"yes, after celestial immortal is true immortal. the sect leader here was an early true immortal. He was the main reason we could create a world this big." He said with a smile
"I see... so this Galaxy doesn't have a single immortal." Ling Han said with a sigh.
"Sword Emperor sect had hundreds of true immortals the last time I was there. going there, you might find a worthy opponent." He said as he threw the token towards Ling Han.
"Before I leave, why didn't you guys let heaven immortals enter this dimension. wouldn't it be easy with their help you kill that woman?" Ling Han asked as he caught the token
"this dimension has a second dimension within. It's alright to breakthrough within this world, but those above earth immortal entering could weaken the second dimension. Plus, the human heart is unpredictable. Who knows if they would fall for the woman's words and help her free." The middle-aged man said with a shake of his head.
"I see. I will head to your sect to see how it is in the future." Ling Han said as he put the sword at his waist as he walked off.
When he got far away enough, he called out Elise and Yin Hong and headed off to the next trial ground.
The next trial ground was ranked 7th, which was about runes. The path of Runes was a hard path to walk, as this path turned one understands of the Dao into symbols.
The Dao of runes alone was useless, but those who comprehend other Dao would bring out the unimaginable power from this
At later stages, this path can allow one to turn words into power. Instead of needing to use one understand of other Dao. a simple word 'breakthrough' would have the power to allow one much weaker than you to suddenly breakthrough.
But to walk this path, one much have a high understanding of the world. The more knowledge one has, the more active and powerful one words would be.
Ling Han took a great interest in this Dao and spent many weeks going over it. With his mind, which was filled with many worlds, and even earth. This path seemed to fit him perfectly.
After three weeks, they set off for the next trial ground, which was ranked 9th. This trail was of the sound path. A blind old man walked this path.
The trial was quite hard, as they had to listen to many sounds and replay them. But after a few days, they left with the ability to use sound instant of eyes to see the world.
Trial 8 was of the Dao of illusion, which in Ling Han's opinion, was the easiest. Creating illusions and seeing through illusions was nothing to him. It only took them two days below they set off for the next trail ground.
The next trail ground was ranked 3rd. Which was of the Dao of lightning, storm clouds gathered above lightning which sent rains of lightning falling to the ground every few minutes.
Just reaching the trial ground held a risk of getting hit by the lightning. Before long, they arrived before a castle that gave off a dense lightning Qi.
"those who wish to gain my inheritance... you two mastered the Dao of lightning... even to the point of a lightning domain." The deep voice said in shock
"Yup, you wanna skip the trial and give use the treasure." Ling Han asked with a smile
"But I must test your skills," He said as 5 giants slowly appeared before them.
"These giants are immune to lightning. Destroy it using only the Dao lightning, and you pass the trial." The voice as it disappeared, leaving a speechless Ling Han and Elise.
Lightning gathered around Ling Han and Elise, forming into a nice blue armor. With a step, they arrived before the giants. Destroy each giant with a simple punch.
Immune to lightning, they may be, but they were not resistant to the force brought by lightning. They were only immune to the damage lightning-caused, meaning they would not be burnt or be damaged by lightning.
Ling Han and Elise simply punched them, destroy them in seconds.
"is that all? " Ling Han asked calmly
"... y-yes. my inheritance is up ahead." The deep voice sounded soft, but Ling Han and Elise ignored it as they went to look at the treasure
They took out the lightning armor, which was the key to enter the other pocket dimensions, and a few skills before leaving.
The next trial they went to was of the Dao of formation. They needed about a few hours with this trail before they set off towards the trail, ranked 1 first, which was of the heavenly Dao of life.
