Chapitre 3: nightmares
"Young prince, the sun is setting down we should head back or your father might get worried about you"
As Lynn tried to convince Aragon to back, Aragon then stopped for a moment and looked at lynn.
"You know that I finished all of his paperwork before we left, he should be enjoying his life with some women right now" Aragon then raised his hand as his spatial ring emitted a little light.
Next after that a sword appeared in aragon hands, it has a 1 foot long hilt that is covered by violet leather, a circular guard that has a magic array written and a 3 foot long blade.
Some may mistake it from katana but the lack of curves made it unique, it is made from heartstone and platinum.
The hilt's weird length can be also used as a means to defend as it is made from a strong wood that even his sword itself may have trouble chipping it.
"Uhmm, have you given it a name, young prince '' Lynn decided to just go along with Aragon as she knew she wouldn't be able to convince him.
"Not yet '' Aragon then touches the blade to see if there's any damage, he still remembers how happy he was when his father gave him a sword on his 5th birthday, though he questions his father for giving a sword to a kid.
"If i remember correctly, young master don't practice swords"
As far as Lynn knows, Aragon quit practicing swords because he hated it when he became sweaty.
"Do you doubt my ability?"
"Ah, of course not why would i?"
Lynn tried to look away while giving an awkward laugh.
It is true, Aragon hates the feeling of being tired, thus he created his own techniques by just stepping your right foot in your front while the other to the back, then hide your left hand to the back and ready your right hand to the front.
Which is… full of openings and many errors at one look.
Aragon then decided to head deeper into the forest that they walked very far as Cordelia is near the sea shore.
Thus even if they left in the middle of noon they might be able to come back when night falls which is really dangerous.

As Aragon and Lynn continue to walk deep into the forest they suddenly hear a growl that made both of them halt.
"Young prince its a man eating cat, be careful it is known for their speed and numbers there might be 5 more of them if im not wrong"
As Lynn told Aragon about the type of beast they encountered, Aragon proceeded to take his stance which made the cat angrier.
Man eating face is a cat that is as big as an adult human, they are not that strong compared to the magical version of them, but they have level D difficulty if they are hunting in pact while it decreases one rank if they hunt alone.
The cats appear to have a light blond or cinnamon color along with different types of patterns.
Right now Aragon can be considered a rank D adventurer, which is not a secret as people of Cordelia loved hearing surprise from their prince.
Another 3 man eating cat appeared next to the lone cat, making their number increase to four.
"Get close to me, or you'll be the first target"
"Y- yes"
Man eating cat also liked to hunt the weakest and play with its prey, thus letting Lynn away would be a bad situation.
As the other 3 man eating cat dash to Aragon's left and right, planning to cut the scapes, not like they need to scape.
The leader stayed in front of them, staring at Aragon. It gave a loud roar before it dashed very fast.
Aragon who decided to side step while his right hand grabbed Lynn in his back, when the cat saw its attack failed to land it became more aware of his opponent.
Same to the other 3, as four of them walked in circles trying to find any change to attack.
Aragon knew that this need to end, thus he let go of lynn and cast a silent magic at his left hand that is hidden by his back and lynn, a magic circle appear and a triangle also appeared in the middle, in his age putting 3 lines is already a great achievement while his father can do the six magic line very easy.
Like in his sword, it has a magic array with a six magic lane, it contains powerful moves that he suggested to his father.
Back to the fight, the magic circle then glows in color blue indicating that he is about to use a water element spell, in this world there are 4 basic elements fire, wind, earth, and water.
Water is the most common attribute at cordelia as they are next to the sea, followed by wind, fire and earth are one of the rare elements you can find in cordelia while they are not rare in other countries.
And then there is an advanced element, which is light, darkness, electricity(thunder? Call it anything you want), and ice.
Followed by legendary elements which are space, time, gravity and electromagnetic.
Aragon have 3 affinities, which is water, wind and light magic he is supposed to have 1 affinities but his title *The prophecy child* along with "son of fairy queen" both give him light and wind affinities.
Aragon can also increase his affinities by absorbing items with element properties, or getting a blessing.
As the four cats decided to pounce at all directions Aragon raised his left hand to the air, the magic circle immediately summoned a horizontal slash around Aragon and Lynn leaving them safe inside the circle.
The 3 cat god cutted in half, while behind them they heard a low squeak, making them turn around only to see a slightly bigger cat that if they are not mistaken the alpha of the group.
Even if the cat notices the spell it's already too late but unlike a normal cat, it still manages to spin its body to avoid being cut in half, but the slash still mage cuts deep into the cat's ribs.
The cat knew that they lost so instead of attacking it started to run away, but Aragon knew better that a dead enemy is the best enemy.
Even if he lets the cat away, it may come back again and attack another human which makes Aragon the reason for its revenge.
Thus Aragon chased after the bleeding cat, it can't run very fast but he is being followed by lynn so he couldn't afford to out run lynn as it is very dangerous at the forest and it is much dangerous if it is night.
The wolf jumped into the bushes, making Aragon raise his left eyebrows.
"You still going to kill that cat?"
Lynn looked at Aragon who's not showing any sympathy.
Aragon stopped for a moment before he looked at lynn and said,
"it's either to kill or to be killed"
Aragon then continue walking without looking at lynn,
'Damn, i finally said it hahahaha'
But inside aragon is very embarrassed for saying such a villain phrase.(aragon have the 8th grade syndrome)
As Aragon pushed the bushed away he discovered something, the cat they are chasing is a female alpha that is hunting food for her cub.
Aragon heart ich a little, but it quickly disappeared. He took his sword and walked to the cat that was almost out of breath but still managed to let out a growl.
"Don't worry i will end your suffering and…"
Aragon looked at the sleeping cub.
"She's cute, I'll take her with me"
As the cat seems not to like it but what can it do?
Aragon then proceeded to swiftly stab it in the neck, killing the female alpha.

As Aragon walked out of the bush Lynn quickly noticed what's he's carrying.
"Is that a baby man eating cat?"
"Yeah, we should move away from this location as the blood might attract strong beasts"
After finding a suitable location for camping, Aragon places a quite big tent while Lynn is making fire.
The tent is already fully equipped for sleeping necessity, he doesn't need to worry about the cold as the thick leather and cloth which is made from unique animals made the tent resistant to both cold and heat.
Lynn then placed a cloth in the grass and put some bread and meats, she also has a spatial ring that has what a maid should have.
Aragon sat next to Lynn and they both ate.
"Where's your tent, lynn?"
Aragon looked at lynn.
"Hahahah, let's sleep today!" Lynn laughed, making Aragon roll his eyes.

"Are you really sleepin here?"
Aragon asked Lynn who's changing in front of him into a nightgown.
"Enjoying the show, young prince?"
Lynn gives a teasing slime as her books bounce a few times.
Aragon just closed his eyes which made Lynn laugh.
As Aragon was sleeping, he suddenly felt two hands grab his head and moved into heavens.
"Do you still have those nightmares?"
Aragon forgot about the situation and looked directly at lynn.
"Sometimes"
Even before he got reincarnated as Aragon, he is still having a random nightmare every night, making him surprised that even if he's in a new different world his weird dreams are still chasing him.
Lynn saw that Aragon was lying thus, she punished him by putting his whole head into her beast.
As Aragon was having difficulty breathing he tried to protest but Lynn only heard a mumbling sound which made her tickle.
As Aragon heard her laugh he stopped, and just falled asleep.
"You are still a kid"
Lynn also closed her eyes as she remembered some memories.
As Lynn opened the door, she saw Aragon sitting in the corner of his bed, usually she wakes up very early to go to Aragon room to prepare his clothes before he wakes up, but she finds him sitting with a tired look.
Thus after that she sometimes slept with Aragon till he fell asleep.

TornHeart this may have a grammar error and more error ay i haven't edited this chpater yet, buy hey! i got this in 1,700 word counts which is a big success to my normal 1k words, i could make this pass to 2k but i should leave it to the next chapter.
