Chapitre 55: Calling Her First Name
Miu and Hito were both confused, then Miu couldn't help but say.
"What do you mean Hito's girlfriend? Who is it?" She looked around but found no one besides her at the door.
The guy who said that Hito's girlfriend was visiting him looked at Miu with an equally confused expression and asked.
"Isn't it you?"
"Me....?" Miu stood blankly at her spot for a while, and then she suddenly blushed and exclaimed.
"W-what are you talking about?! I'm not his girlfriend!" Miu got embarrassed to the max, however she also felt really good after hearing that, though it wasn't real.
Hearing her say all of that, all the people in Hito's class started to discuss noisily.
"What? That wasn't real?"
"Damn! I even believed it! Turns out it was a lie!"
"Wait, who spread those rumors again?"
"It's Yamai-san!"

..
On the other hand, Shouko sighed in relief, knowing that he didn't have a girlfriend! Now she blamed Yamai for saying such crap!
However, a question popped in her mind 'If she isn't his girlfriend then who is she to him?'
Hito thought 'Oh, they meant Miu not Sakura, huh!? But still that Yamai...why would she do this? I haven't done anything wrong to her, right? Forget it, she would get her retribution since she spread that false rumor. It would most likely backfire at her. I wish you good luck, Yamai.'
The misunderstanding was slowly fading and this instantly cleared Hito's status. However, he wasn't really planning to hide the fact that he has a girlfriend! But, unless someone directly asked him he wouldn't reveal it.
Najimi's question doesn't count. Speaking about Najimi, he looked at Hito with a wry expression and said,
"Ops, sorry about that man! Forget about it! Damn that Yamai…. well see what will happen to her soon."
Hito smiled slightly. Honestly with Najimi's connections within this school, Yamai wouldn't be able to live peacefully from today onwards.
Then after the misunderstanding got cleared, Miu was welcomed inside the classroom, and she happily thanked Hito's classmates for welcoming her.
Then she went toward Hito's table. After arriving she immediately said,
"Umm.. good morning Hito!"
"Morning Miu! So what brings you here? You shouldn't have come here just to say good morning right?"
Miu nodded, and she spoke, "It's about you going with grandpa to visit his little brother Senzaemon Oji-san! I want to go with you guys!"
"Hm? Why are you asking me that? Shouldn't you be asking grandpa instead? You're asking the wrong person here!"
Miu shook her head and replied, "I did talk to Grandpa, however he didn't agree to let me go with you guys! That's why I'm asking you to help me convince my grandpa to let me join you!"
Hito started to scratch his head, and said. "Okay, I get that you want me to convince your grandpa so that you could join us to visit his little brother. Am I right so far?"
Miu nodded, then Hito continued. "Sure, but do answer this question, why? Why do you want to follow us so badly?"
"W-well I heard that Grandpa's little brother is really good at cooking! I'd like to meet him and ask him for cooking advice!"
Hito pointed at himself, and said. "I can help you with that problem though, why bother going there?"
"No, it's different! I was… I just want to go there okay?! Are you helping me or what?" Miu exclaimed, and truthfully speaking, meeting and learning from Senzaemon was only half the reason, 50% of her other reason was to spend more time with Hito, but there was no way she'll admit that!
Hito pondered, as he touched his chin and thought 'I can feel that she isn't lying, however it isn't all of her reason for following us… I wonder what could it be…' he sighed.
"Sure I'll convince grandpa, now are you happy?"
Miu let out her tongue, and said. "Happy? Nope I'm not! Anyways that's all, I will go back to my class now! I'll see you after school!"
She was happy, and it was obvious from the way she acted, but Hito didn't bother to expose her and sent Miu off from his classroom.
Hito went back to his seat, and Najimi hurriedly asked.
"Hey! What kind of relationship do you two have?! From the way you two act you guys shouldn't be just ordinary friends right? And you even know her Grandpa! Tell me about it?!"
Hito waved his hands, and honestly spoke. "It's not how you think it is. Yes, we are more than just ordinary friends, but it's because I'm learning Martial Arts from her family Dojo. Honestly, I'm not even sure what to call our current relationship... Disciple-friends? Sounds lame, so there you have it."
Najimi nodded, he finally understood and replied. "Damn! You were secretly learning Martial Arts?! Hey, I want to learn there too! It sounds fun!"
Hito looked at Najimi with a blank expression, and thought 'It's….not a bad idea, I think? I mean if he'd join there Najimi would lose his trap status, as he would gain muscles and then he would show his manly side! …..Wait nevermind, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't last a day anyway.'
"...No, I recommend you to not join there."
"What?! Why?! Are you perhaps saying that I'm not qualified to join or perhaps your hiding a dark secret?!" Najimi shouted loudly without any care, and everyone in the classroom heard him.
Hito's face darkened, and he thought 'I see... I've tried saving you, but you rejected my good will!'
"Fine! Follow me later. I hope you won't cry after you experience the 'Joy' of training there!"
Najimi refuted Hito, and answered. "Hah! Don't underestimate me! My willpower isn't that weak!"
Hito just snorted at him, and gave Najimi a 'You'll see later' expression.
Then Hito realized that Shouko is also listening to their conversation and was hesitant whether to join or not.
He looked at Shouko, and decided to talk. "So umm, hey there Komi-san, you want to join our conversation right?"
Shouko looked at him with a shy expression and nodded lighty.
"Okay, then let me ask you a question. Why did you avoid me earlier? It was really awkward, you know?" Of course Hito was just messing around, he wanted to see how she would respond!
Then Shouko flinched, after a moment of hesitation, she wrote something on her notebook.
( Tadano-san, I'm really sorry about that. Please forgive me...I'm ashamed of myself for avoiding you. I shouldn't have ignored you and I'm regretful very about that. I'm sorry… Please, don't start hating me. )
While she showed that to Hito, he felt a little guilty as he never thought Shouko would literally feel so regretful about it. Though he couldn't see her expression, he could tell that she was really nervous and scared.
Scared from the fact that Hito wouldn't be her friend anymore! Her body was shaking a little.
Hito immediately said. "Komi-san, sorry, don't be scared okay? I'm not going to hate you because of that! It isn't worth mentioning at all! Didn't I promise before? That I'll help you get a hundred friends? I'm not going back at my words!"
Hearing that, Shouko sighed in relief as she was really scared. She was afraid that Hito wouldn't be her friend anymore, and he would ignore her all the time from now on.
Just by imagining that, she could feel that she won't have a good highschool life without him, then she wrote another sentence.

Hito suddenly spoke, "Shouko, I'll start calling your first name from now on, you can also call me Hito from now on okay?"
Shouko dropped her pencil to the floor, and her face started to get really red. At this moment, her heart was beating to the max!
