It was still quite early so the manor was practically empty beside the servants that were starting their day. They greeted me with bows yet everytime I heard the word hero I felt unsettled for many reason, The main being that I didn't have the goddesses blessing anymore.
The other being I had spent the night drinking the breast milk of both a demon general and the demon king herself, And also the small detail that a walking catastrophe who could destroy a city was licking her paw on top of my head.
"Hey" I spoke toward scanning the hallways making sure there was no one present.
"Yes Xavier!" Vera instantly stopped her actions and peaked her head with quickness.
'What the hell is wrong with her…' Just a few moments ago she was still angry about being spanked and now she seemed like an obedient…well cat.
"Don't kill anyone unless I give you permission" I narrowed my eyes waiting for her reaction but thankfully Vera quickly nodded her head.
"As you wish!" I stared at the white ball of fur for a couple seconds and then made a helpless expression.

"Hero your up early" Yet my eyes instantly turned cold when I heard an smug tone fill my ears.
"…." I glanced to my side where I saw a dark skinned man walking in my direction with a smile painted on his face.
"I was just getting back from a morning training session with the princess" Leon spoke in an obnoxious tone that could even bother a saint.
"You should check on her if you have some free time" He stopped just in front of me and crossed his arms with his broad shoulders even larger then normal.
"I truly left her in a mess" Leon smirked viciously as his eyes looked me up and down as if sizing me up.
'Something's wrong' I couldn't place my finger on it but something about Leon was off.
'He seems much more arrogant today…' I narrowed my eyes and was about to channel my mana before a voice rang out in my head.
'Stop' Vera's voice was calm but I picked hear a hint of pure excitement as if she had found a toy to play with.
'Never alarm your prey' Her words confused me but I held back putting trust in the petite demon.
"I'll keep that in mind…." I spoke with a blank tone as I continued forward until I was just beside the dark skinned bastard.
"Leonardo"
My lips curled up seeing Leon's eyes go wide as she quickly looked toward me, I didn't pay him any mine though as I continued forward. My steps felt a bit lighter then they already were although I was confused about something.
"Why'd you stop me from scanning him with mana?" I glanced up toward Vera who had resumed licking her paw.
"He's the one you want to kill right?" She asked pausing her actions once more and patting my forward.
"Yes" I responded with a slight nod with a raised eyebrow.
"You should have been able to sense it even if you were only recently blessed by her majesty" Vera's words made me even more confused.
"That disgustingly pure mana….." Vera muttered in pure disgust before uttering words that shocked me.
"He's blessed by that golden haired bitch" My eyes went wide as I looked back down the hallway where Leon had already disappeared from.
"Are you sure….." I asked feeling my heart start to beat rapidly.
"Yep" Vera popped the end of the of the word as if she was a hundred percent positive.
"….."
"How funny…" I couldn't help but laugh slightly as I continued to walk forward.
