Chapitre 63: Passing the first test!

"I'm bored..." I muttered to myself while sitting on the ledge of a cliff, the exam is still ongoing as the announcer kept announcing the lowering number of spots remaining
"Of course, you'll be bored... Everybody we've encountered either ran away or we've been beaten too easily... We didn't even capture their targets" Jiro said with furrowed eyebrows, she didn't even get to fight most of the time as Rimuru just kicked their a**es
"There aren't many spots left anyway. Shouldn't there be more people though? It seems awfully empty" I asked, even if this terrain is dangerous to climb. You would assume at least a few people would be there.
"I mean there are 200 spots so there should be at least 1000 participants no?" Jiro asked, my mind began cranking before I spat out.
"With each participant needing to eliminate 3 people, there should be at least 800 people... But you can capture more than 3 meaning that there is room for errors" I sighed as more uncertain factors began appearing.
"Like that guy who got over 100 at a time?" Jiro said making me groan.
"I hate uncertain factors..."
"You sound like a supervillain"

"They split us all up... This is bad." Midoriya muttered to himself while surveying his surroundings. He was sure they planned to hunt them down in groups once they'd split us up.
However, Midoriya was snapped out of his thoughts by the sounds of the ground rumbling. Dodging back the ground he once stood over burst open in a net. Realizing he's been ambushed he dodged back yet again as the floor burst.
"Be careful. He's from UA" Midoriya turned his gaze to the voice. His eyes widened as he saw he was surrounded by a group of 20, he recognized some of the faces as the ones from the morning.
"Who cares? He alone. It's easy prey" one of the members disagreed as he eyed Midoriya. Of course, he didn't run at him immediately, as he wasn't ordered to.
"Attack." The leader of the group ordered flatly, as soon as he did a volley was shot at Midoriya, quickly dodging back Midoriya tried to calm his nerves and analyze properly.
However, his quick analysis was thwarted as the ground shook once again, this time a metallic maw erupted trying to trap him. Kicking off of it he managed to stabilize himself in the air.
Soon another volley was shot at Midoriya, kicking the air, an invisible pressure deflected the balls away. Thinking fast as soon as he landed on the floor he dashed back as fast as possible preventing a preemptive strike.
"Tsk... He's a tricky one" the leader said as he took aim before throwing a ball at Midoriya, of course, Midoriya tried to deflect the store but suddenly as the ball was flying In the air it turned around yet again.
Yes, the group was made from the aimbot quirk user, as soon as the tremor kid was shot away he took control of his classmates and established a new group once again. This time instead of targeting UA they hunted for smaller groups.
"Deku-kun! Over here!" Midoriya suddenly heard a familiar voice, turning his gaze he found Uraraka standing on a ledge waving at him.
'what is she doing? Does she have a plan?' Midoriya was confused as to why Uraraka was shouting for him in front of everyone. Making her an easy target.
"Uraraka-san! Watch out!" Midoriya shouted as he noticed a smaller group trying to ambush her, hearing him she dodged back as a ball was thrown at her, howe er due to her standing next to a cliff she began falling down.
'This is bad' Midoriya eyed the group surrounding them and turned his gaze back to Uraraka who was falling. Tensing his legs without a second thought he dashed at Uraraka in the air grabbing her in a princess carry. Yet again dodging a few balls that were thrown at him.
Landing on his feet he yet again prepared for a kick, however instead of aiming at the group he kicked the ground itself, sending a shockwave that destroyed the high ground that they were standing on, Shooting out a cloud of dust.
Taking this opportunity Midoriya began running away from the group and hid away in a safe cranny of the destroyed terrain.
"That was close... Thank you Deku-kun" Uraraka smiled as she thanked Midoriya, a small blush appeared on Midoriya as he scratched he back of his head.
"It was no problem Uraraka-san, I'm glad your safe" Midoriya said as his eyes turned to crescents, however, he soon turned serious as the sounds of fighting began to ring in the distance.
Uraraka behind smiled slightly before holding a ball in her hands. She slowly crawled towards Midoriya, the ball in her hands getting closer and closer to Midoriya or rather the targets on his body.
With a swift motion...
"Deku-kun take this... You can use it better than me" Uraraka offered Midoriya a ball as Midoriya had just exhausted his. Unfortunately, Himiko hadn't disguised as Uraraka as she was too busy following Jiro.
"Ah- thanks Uraraka-san" Midoriya grabbed the ball before slowly making it out of over. Slowly sneaking by the 2 tried to stay out of sight
But soon they encountered Sero.
"Hey Midoriya, Uraraka!" Sero shouted while waving at them, making Midoriya flinch. Their whole 'being sneaky' plan was ruined.
"Shush Sero! We're supposed to be quiet! Can't you hear?" Midoriya put a finger over his mouth trying to quiet down Sero.
"Oh! Right, I guess so" Sero scratched the back of his head, the three of them hadn't been able to capture anybody, they had to defeat at least 9 people before they could pass the exam.
Slowly the three of them made their way up a cliff to scout out. They could see the waiting room in the distance, close by they finally spotted a large group who seemed to be fighting amongst each other.
"How about we go and try and capture some of them?" Midoriya asked while pointing at the large group, picking off a couple shouldn't be a big problem.
"Are you crazy? There are like 50 people there! We'll be overwhelmed!" Sero shouted out while holding his head.
"We don't have to fight them head on" Midoriya looked around at the broken down ground before getting an idea.

"We don't have much time dumba**! Die already!" A participant screamed out while using his quirk to pin another down. They only have around 50 more spots before everybody else is considered eliminated.
"Everybody calm down! We can just---"
"Shut up! I don't care I can't fail" One participant tried to calm everyone down however he was soon trampled by greedy members of the group. Soon the entire area descended into chaos as everybody used their quirks without reserve.
"Dammit dammit!" One participant crawled away trying to evade the chaos. He knew his quirk couldn't counter all of them. However, he stopped in his tracks as a huge shadow covered him.
"Huh....?" He looked up only to see large rocks slowly descending down like meteors. Attached by sticky tape they acted like gigantic chains. Without any time to dodge he was stuck to the tape unable to move.
"Hey! Please let me go! I have to pass the exam! Please!" The participant cried out while pushing with all his strength, and soon a figure descended down. It was, of course, Midoriya.
"Sorry. But I want to pass too" Midoriya said with regret in his voice, slowly pressing his ball onto the participant's target eliminating him from the competition.
"We didn't manage to catch many" Midoriya said with a sigh as a group of participants pointed at him with anger in their eyes.
"What do we do Deku-kun?" Uraraka asked as she floated down from the cliff. Sero followed right after.
"We'll have to fight the old-fashioned way."
"That's dangerous you know?" Sero said while stretching his limbs.
"Yeah but we don't have much time," Midoriya said with resolve. However, his eyes soon caught a weird sight.
He spotted Iida running around as Aoyama was carried around his shoulder. It seems Aoyama was having a stomachache as Iida dodged balls that were being thrown at him.
"Let's help Iida and Aoyama! With a bigger group, it would be easier to capture!" Sero said, quickly after Midoriya told Uraraka to make Sero and her float as they held onto his back.
"Iida-kun! We've come to help!" Midoriya shouted out loud catching the attention of Iida, sighing in relief Iida waved at them before telling them to come.
"Midoriya, it's good you came. We don't have much time but I know how to get the required amount of targets" Iida has been planning for a while now how to pass the exam.
"Just tell us what to do!" Midoriya trusted Iida as he began listening to the plan. It was very simple overall. They would have Aoyama shoot a laser alerting everyone as Kota, who was hiding nearby sent pigeons to disturb everybody. At the same time, Sero would shoot his tape trapping everyone swiftly. And if anybody struggled Midoriya and Iida would try to eliminate them quickly.
And thus with quick teamwork, they went to work.

"That went better than expected!" Sero shouted out in excitement. The plan went well and they finally managed to pass the first part of the exam. While walking toward the waiting room they encounter Kaminari, Kirishima, and Bakugo. The three of them seemed exhausted while Bakugo was gritting his teeth in anger.
"Yo! You passed the exam as well?" Kaminari was the first to notice the group as he waved towards them. Bakugo turned his gaze, his eyes locking with Midoriya.
"Tsk you passed?" Bakugo clicked his tongue as he asked Midoriya.
"Uh... Yeah, I did" Midoriya fidgeted with his fingers while answering, he felt strangely awkward around Bakugo recently. Like something should've happened but it didn't.
"Then go to the waiting room bastard. Don't wait for me like a damn pushover!" Bakugo shouted out, he too felt exhausted after multiple difficult fights."
As soon as they entered the waiting room their eyes landed on their fellow class 1-A friends. They saw Rimuru and Jiro chatting as well as Mina, Hagakure, and Asui talking about their fights as they laughed all around.
"I see you all passed. That's a relief" Momo approached Midoriya and Iida while sighing in relief. She was afraid not everyone would make it to the next part of the exam.
"Yaomomo! You passed as well! Was it difficult?" Uraraka approached Momo asking about their experience. Momo went quiet for a bit before scratching her cheek.
"Well, it went somewhat like this...."

"Ultimate Move! Disco party!" As soon as the door opened a blinding light shone on the rivaling participants. Not expecting this they tried covering their eyes from the light. With was a big mistake.
"Shoji now!" Momo shouted, she handed him 6 anesthetic gas grenades. As everybody wore their gas mask Shoji threw them into the room instantly bursting into white gas. Unfortunately, anesthesia doesn't work in an instant like in the movies but rather takes between 5-10 minutes.
However, the gas did slow their opponents down. Quickly making use of the surprise Mina shot blasts of acid at them melting away any support items they might've worn. At the same time, Shoji dashed at them punching their front lines in the stomach and knocking the air out of their lungs.
"Damn you" the lady at the back of the room gripped her tea cup in anger. A handkerchief covered her mouth in an attempt to stop inhaling the gas. However, she still felt dizzy.
Quickly standing up she tried grabbing her umbrella as a tool of defense however she was quickly stopped as she was hit with a net. Momo was the most wary of her as she saw her as the leader. Thinking quickly she made a netlauncher and caught her.
"Let's make quick work of them Yay!" Hagakure who was still shining in a bight light hopped with her hands in the air.
