Chapitre 16: Can You Meet Me After School?

The basketball match ended. No, calling it a match would be an understatement. It was literally a one-sided beatdown. It would be more fitting to call it Keith's basketball match as he was not only the MVP, but he didn't even give his opponents a chance to score a point.

The score was 127-0. The defeat was so overwhelming that Keith's opponents doubted whether they should continue playing basketball or not.

Although Keith could have hoarded the ball and scored all of the points for his team by himself, he didn't do that since that would portray a lone wolf and selfish impression of himself.

To become the leader of Fredrick College, Keith's ideal image for himself was a charismatic and easy-going leader who valued his subordinates and teammates. As much as possible, he didn't want his school persona to deviate from the ideal image that he had in mind.

Keith was as strict and ruthless to others as to himself. He didn't allow himself to make any mistakes especially if they were mistakes that he could avoid.

He never expected himself to be "perfect" but he expected to at least have minimal errors as a human being.

Expectations only hurt when you don't display any actions to achieve the expectation you wanted to achieve.

Even in his past life, Keith was rarely disappointed with the results of his actions as he usually planned his actions meticulously.

And as he had expected, all of his schoolmates and classmates of his had an excellent impression of him.

His teamwork with his classmates that were in his basketball team had made them have an excellent impression of Keith. After all, they were well aware that Keith didn't need the support of his teammates yet still thoughtfully allowed his teammates to participate in the match.

Even Keith's classmates who were his opponents couldn't bring themselves to hate Keith since they were touched by the camaraderie that Keith had shown to his teammates. They could only blame their coach for not assigning Keith to their team as well as cursing their luck for not being assigned to Keith's team.

While Keith and his classmates returned to the side to take a rest as the basketball match had ended, the audience that consisted of Keith's schoolmates had already looked at Keith in a different light.

For them, Keith was simply a "perfect" existence from a human's perspective.

In terms of appearance, Keith was unanimously chosen as the school's prince charming. Even Raymond's handsome appearance looked plain when Keith and he were in the same location.

Not only that, even Keith's personality was several times better than Raymond Shelton who was the leader of Fredrick College. Keith's charisma as well as his excellent personality made his image rose in the minds of his classmates and schoolmates.

As for his skills, it was not needed to be said as actions spoke louder than words. Keith had proved to them that if he dared to call himself second in basketball, none would dare claim they were first!

Keith was so perfect that those who hated him at first couldn't find anything they could use to sow discord against him.

How could they even taint Keith's image when they couldn't even find any fault with his seemingly perfect countenance?

And it was not a question of whether they could even find any fault with Keith or not, it was whether they could survive the wrath of a thousand fangirls after they offended Keith.

Except for Raymond, there were no other foolish students who dared to offend Keith. Even those girls who were jealous of Lynn Walter and had thoughts of bullying her could only dispel their jealousy.

Keith had already announced that Lynn was his girlfriend so harming Lynn was the same as not showing Keith any face.

Despite being fangirls of Keith, they weren't delusional enough to think that they had the chance to become Keith's girlfriend. At most, they dare not harm Lynn for the risk of earning Keith's ire.

What was worse than not being noticed by their idol was being hated by their idol.

With those thoughts in mind, none of the schoolmates and classmates of Keith that had witnessed his actions dared to make an enemy out of him.

Keith had already known their thoughts and because of that, he couldn't help but sigh that he didn't have any eyeglasses. Or else, he would have already pushed the frame of his glasses and muttered "all according to plan".

While Keith was drinking water, his phone that he had stored in his pocket vibrated as his phone's notification sound rang for a second before ceasing.

Fishing for his phone in his pants pocket, Keith grasped his phone in his right hand and turned on its power.

As the screen lit up, a message notification popped up on his phone's screen. Tapping it, his phone redirected him to the messaging app on his phone.

\Can you meet me after school?\

It was from an unknown number but judging from the fact that he hadn't given his phone number to anyone aside from a certain girl, Keith knew it came from Lynn Walter.

His guess was further solidified when he noticed that when he took a glance at Lynn, she responded with a sweet smile.

Not leaving the girl hanging, Keith immediately replied.

\[ThumbsUp Emoji]\

After replying to Lynn's message, Keith returned his phone to his pockets as well as headed back to his classroom.
