Vol 1: Ch 11 - Rei and Xue

Rei following the staff without noticing Vin in the hidden corner. The staff stopped and then said to the other guest who is already seating and drinking tea at the moment "another guest for Mr. Vin is here".

Xue heard the staff, simply nodded as if she acknowledges that Rei is Vin's guest, and then facing them since she's looking in another location while drinking tea. Rei recognized her right away and excited to meet her again after graduation and her excitement is very obvious enough just from her greetings to her.

"Woah, Xue, it's been a long time since graduation day. By the way, your Mom is really worried about... " She cut off herself and realized something's wrong "wait, why are you here? You know, I'm going to meet up with Vin here. And here I taught that you hated Vin but the staff informs me that another guest of Vin is here. Wait, don't tell me your that guest and the two of you become close to each other after graduation, am I right?"

Xue just listening to her and still can't believe that the one standing in front of her is really Rei, the so-called best friend of her is now become an elegant lady and more beautiful than before because Rei is a chubby girl during High School days and even in her tertiary level she's still a chubby girl but now this refine beautiful lady is Rei, well she knows already that she's pretty but she still can't believe that this is the new Rei, and then after listening to her voice she is still the Rei she knows but on the other hand, she's only a fake friend in front of her but well she just did it because she was in love with Vin for many years compared to this lady in front of her since she only admired Vin and nothing else more than that.

Vin on the other end must more surprise than Xue because it's his first time meeting Rei again. He even witnessed the staff and other male employees gawking at her and that they are always stealing glances at her if they have chance to do so and it causes his heart to throb because he doesn't want other guys to look at her. If he's not hiding he will really call her attention to confirm what he saw and will glared at the male staff but he can't dare to do it because Rei is not his woman, so he doesn't any claims to her and any reason to be jealous.

After her greetings to her, Xue praising her sarcastically without minding that Rei is her best friend at all or if she didn't treat her as her friend, well then at least she shows manners to her as a person.

"Good, good, and I didn't utter a word but you get it right away, huh. You are really smart." Then look at the staff and instruct "go now and don't let others come in especially a guy who will say his name is Vin."

"Eh, Vin, but is..."

He didn't finish because Xue interrupted him. "Yes, the booking is for Vin but I'm the one who books that one in order to lure this b.... here"

"Ma'am...." the staff going to retaliate at her but Rei stops him.

"It's alright now, you can go now and do what... " Rei was going to say my friend but she was not sure if Xue will be alright with it since she just heard her calling her a b-i-t-c-h that she doesn't know of what she did to her since she just called her that one, with that instead of a friend she just said to the staff "do what she instructs to you."

"Y... yes Ma'am" stuttered and was stoned by her beauty but then he left right away.

After the staff left, the surroundings became awkward but then Xue speaks first in order to get rid of her right away.

"I'm the one who gives you a message instead of Vin and I'm the one who changes the time for you to know"

Rei already guessed why but she didn't utter a word because she might guess it wrong but then Xue admitted it without even waiting for her to ask her first.

"Why you didn't speak? Or are you disappointed to see me because it's me and not Vin? I think you were excited to meet Vin, am I right?"

Rei just questioning her back and not answering her query "what happened to you Xue and why are you behaving like that? You're not the Xue I know anymore."

"You? You're asking me what happened to me. To tell you the truth, it's because of you why I become like this. All these years since the 4th year of High School, I always love Vin and you're the one who's messing with me. I stop contacting you and even blocking you but what just happened, by mentioning you, I and Vin become closer to each other, I lied and lied by using your name but I never contacted you, do you know why? If you don't know then I well tell you to your face right now that it's because I don't want you to have a happy ending and end up with Vin."

"Xue you got it wrong. Vin doesn't have any feelings for me like that, he only treats me as her friend."

Rei suddenly realized something and said to her "honestly Xue, I know why you become like this, so I understand it and will never hate you for what you did. And when Vin in a relationship, an anonymous post and a message about Vin and his girlfriend appeared in my SNS account. Every time when there is Vin involved, you always appeared at the same time. I must realize it earlier but I didn't because I trust you more compared to my assumption, it's my fault and failure to be your friend Xue, and so I'm sorry for not realizing it earlier."

Vin and Xue both shocked and surprised because Rei notices it all but wondered why Rei didn't utter any single word about it but then know why because Rei explained it right away.

"I know all of it but I didn't utter any single word because I thought you will admit it someday or it just only my assumption but I'm wrong and it's my fault."

"Then why you didn't stop me, huh?"

"I don't know why, Xue."

"See! You didn't stop me because you want me to become like this and maybe you're hoping that I will get busted by Vin so that he becomes yours. You are just a selfish one."

"That's not it and I told you that Vin only sees me as a friend."

"If he sees you as a friend then what about you, do you see Vin as your friend only?"

Vin gulp because he doesn't know what Rei's answer going to be and that's the reason why he wants to talk to her personally.
