"W–Wait! I'm sorry. I'm having a hard time to process it." Her eyes staring at him, wide open.
Lucas couldn't believe that for a smart girl like Brie, she was too slow to get what he told her.
"What's hard to process about that?" He asked, annoyed.
"Do you like me?" She answered him with a question.
And when he blushed, her heart couldn't take it. She gasped for air because she felt like she couldn't breathe.
"Lucas, can you please give me a straight answer? I–I don't want to assume and hope."
Lucas clicked her tongue. "No! Because I'm in love with you. I don't want to tell you because you're too young. I decided to wait until you're eighteen, but I'm scared that you might find someone else. So I'm telling you now. If you dare to look at another man, you're really dead!"
Her chest felt like it would suddenly explode. She couldn't hide her happiness and quickly jumped into his arms.
