As the monsters fell one by one, a figure began to form on the horizon. Alex peered over the shoulder of an Antler, but his combat interface didn't immediately identify the creature. They would need to press on more.
"Keep pushing!" Alex screamed to the soldiers and prisoners fighting beside him.
Just like in Fronthold, if they attacked the creatures as they emerged from the dungeon breach, it would be much easier to deal with them. The number of Antlers only decreased with each strike Alex and his companions delivered. The military soldier was nowhere to be seen, and the young elf supposed he was organizing the attack or giving orders in the back.
Second by second, the living forces became more prominent, and the figure at the back of the corridor gained more bulk. The smell of death intoxicated Alex's nostrils as he kept breathing and leaking Arcanite light.
