Chapitre 20: A Deadly Kiss

I had finished applying a thick layer of mascara when I gave myself a final look in the mirror. The dramatic, bold black eyeliner may have been a bit too much, but I wanted to make an impression on Rey. He was the kind of man who demanded attention and wouldn't settle for anything less.

Satisfied with my reflection, I pushed the small stool behind me and stood up. That's when I noticed Rey leaning nonchalantly against the wall, right next to my dresser.

He had his arms crossed against his broad chest, a slight frown plastered to his eerily handsome face. His eyes were on me, and the heat of his gaze was becoming something I did not think I would come to like.

I was basically straddling him just a few minutes ago, and now I was putting on a face of makeup with him standing in my bedroom as if nothing had happened.

The tension between us was palpable, and I could feel my heart racing in my chest.
