Chapitre 20: Working Out
Xu Anyi stood inside her restroom, looking at everything in front of her in the mirror with a grave expression.
First step, she was going to model.
Not just because she liked it, but more so because her hatred for Xia Yiwei was greater than anyone else, even Lu Yuzhe. Xia Yiwei killed her parents and ruined her life to get everything she has now, so now she was going to destroy everything Xia Yiwei worked so hard to get.
However, her condition now. . . Xu Anyi ran her fingers through her rough skin and looked at her body. Then, a fierce spark flashed past her eyes as she lowered her hands and placed it onto the cold sink countertop.
If she could have it before, she could have it now.

She wandered around the house for a while until she found the door that wasn't locked. She opened it and peeked in and found Si Mu sitting there, doing work on his computer.
She stepped in cautiously, "Sorry I didn't knock. . . I didn't know where you were."
"It's okay," he responded, removing the thin golden-framed glasses he was wearing.
She looked around the office as she moved slowly over to him, asking softly, "I was wondering if you have an exercise mat?"
Si Mu raised an eyebrow and observed her, seeing that she had changed into a matching workout set that was also slightly loose on her. He seemed to realize what she was asking and he pushed his chair back, standing up as he walked out the door, "Follow me."
She followed him around the house down to the first floor, where they reached a room with glass walls and doors, a gym room. The room was filled with large workout equipment and there was a workout mat at the front of the room near a large mirror.
Xu Anyi looked at the room in awe, although she wasn't very surprised because Si Mu seemed like the person to exercise as well.
"You can workout here if you want," he said, watching her.
Xu Anyi nodded as she entered the room, "Thank you."
He turned around and walked away, but stopped as he turned the corner, looking from behind the wall as he watched her lie down on the mat and begin working out.
He smiled as he looked up at the wall and then turned around, leaving the hallway.

After an hour, Xu Anyi felt alive again as her entire body was dripping in sweat, but she felt the best in five years. She grabbed a towel from a cabinet to the side and went back upstairs to take a shower.
It was late in the afternoon already, and she changed into a silk nightgown she found in the closet before skipping down the stairs. Her body was tired after working out, but she also felt much more hopeful and excited about what was to come after working out, and it was almost like her old body had returned to her.
When she reached the first floor, she found Si Mu sitting on the large couch in the living room, his legs crossed together as he looked at his computer.
However, he wasn't alone.
Across from him, a man stood with his hands folded behind his back, and he seemed to be reporting something related to work as when Xu Anyi got close, he looked up and stopped speaking.
Si Mu turned his head around slightly and then looked back at the man, "Si Yi, this is. . . Mrs. Si."
Xu Anyi froze for a quick moment and then grinned, nodding toward the man.
"Good afternoon, Mrs. Si. I am Si Yi," he introduced himself, bowing deeply but not looking at her.
Xu Anyi looked back at Si Mu and walked over to the couch, sitting down next to him, only a short distance away. She lifted her legs up from the cold floor and crossed them together on the couch, leaning back as she looked over at him.
Si Mu did not escape her glance and he looked at her for a moment with his usual cold expression, but after a while of making eye contact, he cleared his throat and looked back at Si Yi, "Continue."
Si Yi glanced at the lady sitting on the couch and hesitated, but he quickly continued under his boss's strong glare.
After Si Yi had finished reporting his work, he quickly left the house. When the door had closed, Si Mu turned his body around to face her, and he rested his head on his arm as he raised an eyebrow, "What are you doing?"
Xu Anyi smiled brightly, "I like to watch you work."
Si Mu was silent for a while, his eyes looking into hers as if he was questioning her response, "Remember what I said in the morning."
Xu Anyi drew her eyebrows together confusedly, thinking back. It took a while before she finally realized that he was talking about how he did not like her trying to seduce him purposefully.
"Oh!" She exclaimed, leaning forward so their faces were even closer as she said, "You are my husband, is it wrong for me to act affectionate towards you?"
Her tone was innocent but her large and fox-shaped eyes were captivating as she looked straight into his dark black eyes, not afraid to make and keep eye contact.
He pressed his lips tightly together, not saying anything as he tried to control the wave of emotions that rushed inside him. He cleared his throat and tore his eyes away, focusing back on the computer as he pretended to continue to work, although he could not focus anymore.
He could feel that she was still watching him.
Xu Anyi leaned his head against the soft cushion of the couch, looking at him. From the side, his tall and sharp nose bridge was even more clear and after a long day, his slightly messed up hair grazed past his eyes as he looked down at his computer screen.
He was very, very good looking. . .
It wouldn't be hard for any girl to fall for him. . . If she hadn't been blinded eight years ago and agreed to his proposal, would her life be different now?
But it was all too late.
Xu Anyi took a deep breath as she straightened her back on the couch and cleared her throat, "Si Mu, I need your help with something."
