Chapitre 40: The Top Comment
The two of them sat down to eat, but as they sat down, Xu Anyi received a notification on her phone that someone had tagged her on the new public social media account she had created.
She frowned when she saw that it was Xia Yiwei.
She picked up her phone and clicked on the social media platform to see Xia Yiwei's newest post. She attached a selfie of herself in the makeup room wearing the white dress and had a simple comment:
'I had fun working with the new model for Design today! @Xu Anyi'
Underneath, all the comments were either praising her for how pretty she looked or commenting on why there was a second model for the Design shoot.
'Weiwei, didn't you always film by yourself? Why is there another model? And a new model?! That is unbelievable!'
'Exactly! How can Design treat our Weiwei like that? We only want to see Weiwei in the advertisements!'
'Yeah! Our Weiwei is a first class celebrity. She should be modeling alone!'
Xu Anyi looked through the comments with a hint of a smile and since Xia Yiwei had tagged her, many of her fans had gone over to her social media account as well. Since she had no posts, they could only message her and scold her for filming with their "Weiwei".
Xu Anyi ignored all the comments and closed her phone, meeting Si Mu's curious gaze.
"It's nothing. Just a clown creating some trash," she said simply before she began eating, "The food tastes very good today!"
Si Mu blinked a few times and pressed his lips together to suppress a smile as he nodded, "I'm glad you like it."

The next day, Design also posted on social media, announcing their new spring set. They also posted a picture from the shoot yesterday, one of them standing together, both looking straight into the camera.
This was taken before they started posing, and it was a simple picture, with their names at the bottom.
Beneath their caption introducing the set release date, they also put: 'Models: Xu Anyi & Xia Yiwei'
Of course, once again Xia Yiwei's fans began commenting beneath the post, with about a half of them complimenting Xia Yiwei on how pretty she looked and another half hating on Xu Anyi.
'Who is this tiny unknown model?! Who is she to work with our angel Weiwei?'
'Exactly! And Design put that model's name before Weiwei! Isn't it obvious who is more important?'
Xu Anyi looked through the comments and couldn't help but wonder if Xia Yiwei had hired someone to talk bad about her to begin with. Or else where did all this hate come from?
Yes, she was an unknown model, so shouldn't they just not care about her?
At the very bottom of the chain, there were a few quiet comments without any likes or replies.
'I am a fan of Weiwei, but I have to say that the other model is quite pretty.'
'Who is Xu Anyi? I've never heard of her before, but she is so pretty! I think I am a fan now!'
'I've never heard of Xu Anyi before, but her face and body are totally my type! I hope she models more!'
Xu Anyi closed her phone and went into the bathroom to get ready for the day. She brushed her teeth and washed her face, and when she came out again, she saw that the comment section had exploded.
At the very top, there was a new comment with at least twice as many likes as any other comment.
'I work at Design and I know that this new model only got the job because of relations and money. She doesn't actually know how to model. During the shoot, she did a horrible job, but Xia Yiwei was really patient with her. I became a fan of Xia Yiwei from this shoot!'
Xu Anyi read through the comment twice and raised an eyebrow, clicking into the replies.
'Really?! I knew it! Or else why would such an unknown model be able to work with our Weiwei?'
'I can't believe it! So shameless!'
'I work at Design too, and I was there during the shoot. I think Ms. Xu did a great job.'
Xu Anyi looked at that reply and continued to scroll, but when she came back up, she could not find the reply anymore. It seemed like someone had deleted it. . .
She couldn't help but laugh as she watched the comment increase in likes and more and more people began to scold her and call her shameless. It was evident that Xia Yiwei was behind this.
Xu Anyi sighed as she closed out of the app and went into her closet to change.
Unlike Xia Yiwei, she had better things to do with her time.

Xia Yiwei picked up her phone as she took a sip of the warm milk.
On the other side, her assistant picked up, "Good morning, Sister Yiwei. I did as you told me to, did you see it yet?" She asked cautiously.
Xia Yiwei put the phone on speaker and began scrolling through Design's newest social media post with a smile, "Yes. You did well."
The assistant let out a breath of relief.
"Hire some more people to like the comment and reply to it. I want more attention on that comment," Xia Yiwei ordered before hanging up the phone and continuing to look through all the hate comments.
A corner of her lips turned up.
Xu Anyi. . . You dare try and compete with me!
