Chapitre 33: Shameless Xia Yiwei
"You two will be acting in a drama together!"
At once, Qin Beihou's face darkened, but his manager placed a hand over his hand, telling him to remain calm.
"Beihou, since you are more experienced in the industry and you two are in the same company, make sure to take care of Yiwei on set, okay?" The head of the department said with a smile, looking at the two of them.
Xia Yiwei smiled sweetly at Qin Beihou, standing up from her chair as she bowed down slightly, "I look forward to working with you, Senior Qin."
Qin Beihou was definitely one of the most prominent and respected celebrities in not only the country, but around the world as he went abroad to develop as an actor in the past.
He was famous across the world and starred in many major world productions. So, of course Xia Yiwei had to try and curry favor with him, as it would help her in the industry as well.
Qin Beihou glanced at Xia Yiwei with a disgusted expression, and his distaste made Xia Yiwei confused as he froze for a second.
Then, there was a loud bang as Qin Beihou jumped up from his chair, knocking it over, and then marched out the room.
His manager jumped up as well, "Beihou! Qin Beihou!"
He then looked at the people in the room and smiled awkwardly, "I am so sorry! He must be in a bad mood today! I will talk to him about it. Thank you, CEO Li, thank you, Manager Hu. I will definitely make sure he is prepared for the drama! And you know Beihou, he always does every job very well. Sorry about that!"
Xia Yiwei smiled, "No worries at all, Manager Da. I'll go out and try and talk to him about it. I think there may be a misunderstanding."
She looked at the CEO and then at her own manager with a smile and rushed out of the room after Qin Beihou.
"Qin Beihou!" She called when she saw him waiting outside the elevator.
Qin Beihou turned around and his expression darkened when he saw who it was.
Xia Yiwei ran over to him and smiled sweetly, holding her hand out for him to shake, "I'm Xia Yiwei! We went to the same school together when we were young, do you remember?"
Qin Beihou looked at her hand but did not reach his hand out and instead turned around and pressed the elevator button again, "No."
Xia Yiwei was not angry at his reaction and instead chuckled softly, pulling her hand back, "It was a while ago. . . Oh! What about Xu Anyi? We were friends!"
Upon hearing Xu Anyi's name, Qin Beihou whipped his head around, his eyes sharp with anger as he glared at Xia Yiwei, wondering how she had the audacity to mention her name.
Xia Yiwei broke eye contact with him because she noticed how scary he looked, but she continued, "Oh, but you probably haven't heard from her in a while, right? She murdered her parents and went to jai-"
Xia Yiwei gasped as she covered her lips with her hands, pretending like she had accidentally said too much as she widened her eyes at Qin Beihou in surprise and remorse.
However, Qin Beihou was not going to fall for her act so easily, and he took a step towards her, towering over her as he narrowed his eyes, "Xia Yiwei, how dare you mention Anyi's name?"
He scoffed, "I never knew that you were this shameless!"
He lowered his voice slightly, "We all know the truth in our hearts, so you can drop your stupid act. You should use your acting skills in your career instead of situations like this, it is quite disgusting."
He scrunched his nose up in disgust as the elevator door opened and he turned around, stepping in and shutting the door right in Xia Yiwei's face, which had turned green from humiliation and anger.
Xia Yiwei clenched her fists together as she watched the door close. So Xu Anyi had told him?! They had met already? How?!
She had known that Qin Beihou and Xu Anyi were close friends in the past, and for some reason, Qin Beihou had always been quite cold to her no matter how hard she tried to get close with him.
She thought that this was finally her opportunity and she had begged her manager to arrange this project with him so they could work together, but it seemed like Xu Anyi had beat her to it again!
Xia Yiwei's eyes narrowed as she dug her nails into the palm of her hand.

Qin Beihou marched out of the elevator and into his car, trying to suppress his anger as he thought about Xia Yiwei's disgusting face that made him want to throw up.
How can one be so shameless?!
He shut the door forcefully and pulled out his phone right away after entering his car, which was still parked right outside the building.
He dialed a number and within a few seconds, the other side picked up. Qin Beihou's expression softened as he heard the other side's voice.
"What is it, Houzi?"
"Anyi, do you want to act?"
