Chapitre 26: HER LAST BREATH

I went out to purchase the prescribed medicine for my mom. For some reason, the hospital pharmacy didn't have that particular drug specialized for her case. So I need to go out and hop from one drug store to another. It takes me an hour or two away from her side. While I'm inside the elevator, for some incomprehensible reason, my mouth went dry. I palpitate; nervousness suddenly overtaking me, and with baseless cause, a teardrop falls from my eyes. 'Why?'

With effort, I try to shrug it off. I went out to the elevator, observing the environment in slow motion. I arrive at my mom's room with a group of medical staff around her bed. They are clamoring and bustling, trying to mitigate a certain circumstance. I dropped and smashed the vial medicine pack after perceiving my mom's situation between the nurses and doctor trying to revive her. The commotion suddenly stops with the doctor's hopeless voice stating, "Time of death, two, forty -three PM."
