My 'Healing' Game

Not bad, but a pretty dark story. It's still ongoing, I think. I stopped because I don't have very high tolerance for this genre, so after 800+ chapters had to leave for brighter pastures. Kinda got tricked, tbh.. the synopsis, in translation, "Would you believe me officer, if I said this is a healing game?" So if I remember correctly... MC is a minor actor that's not doing well, living in an old apartment. Totally jaded with life and apathetic to his life, wondering why life is so gray and dull to him... Then, a new mysterious VR game starts in that world, and once you log in, you can't log out for a specific time or until you complete a mission (forgot minor details on this, maybe) instead of joining everyone else on the surface of the game world like a normal al game, he spawns/enters the hidden world. His forced starting point is a haunted room in an mysterious apartment... very similar to his own in reality 😉 1st mission was like, survive till dawn, I think. After he survived and logged out, he never felt more alive and how vivid everything seemed... I laughed at that point, not gonna lie.. definitely was not the "healing" game mc thought he was getting [was author inspired by Saw? who knows] And he has game missions, horror themed, and he gets stats as he survives and passes missions. These stats/skills help him become a better actor, stronger body, etc. oh, and did I mention the npc's he meets seem to be ghosts of real people from his world,... resulting in him participating in fighting and being hunted by serial killers, etc.. Don't mind my rambling, might delete later 🙃

Chapter 28 and the novel is quite good. It has great potential. But... the translation errors are affecting the reading experience. Meng She is the granny the Mc first met when he enters the game. It sometimes calls her old man instead of granny. There is pronoun errors related to Meng She. Overall, the novel is quite great with translation quality being a little low.
