Chapitre 9: Magical Beasts!

"The old woman said that it was gonna be a two-hour Hike! It's already dark! We have been walking for at least four hours!" complained Leorio.

Ren- "It would have been if you had picked up the pace and not whined like a baby."

Kurapika- "A magical beast WARNING sign. I can't really make out what it says… Let's just be care-"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH"

Leorio- "WHAT was that!!!"

Gene- "It seems to be coming from that shed!"

Just as the entered the shed, a large killing intent hit them. One could see a large fox-like creature on two legs holding a woman. An injured man was on the floor covered in rubble.

"Killllllllllllllllll…" said the fox-like creature.

Kurapika- "A magical beast!"

Just as Kurapika and Leorio pull out their weapons, the magical beast leaps past them and dashes out of the house with the lady.

{Ren POV}

Gene and Kurapika rush out of the house trying to catch up to the Magical Beast.

Leorio-Ren, what are you doing here! Go and help Gene and Kurapika catch the other magical beast! I'll tend to this man's wounds.

I walk towards the injured man and say, "Dude, can we just quickly finish off this charade. It's getting really boring."

Leorio had a look of confusion, "What charade?"

The injured man- "So you knew?"

"That the magical beast is your father, that girl is your sibling and that this a part of the Exam, yes," I say nonchalantly.

The injured man- "I'm truly curious as to how you figured it out?"

"I can sense that you are not human and of the same race as the magical creature. As for how I know that this is a part of the exam, the old lady pointed us this way and there aren't any other sentient creatures that have visited here in a while other than your family, so it was pretty obvious you are our guide.

The injured man had an admiring look on his face as he said, "Well now we just need to wait for your friends to come back."

We made some small talk until Gene and Kurapika finally returned with the two magical beasts and their daughter. They seemed impressed with us. We spent some time chatting and finally, the two magical beasts carried us to our next destination, the Exam Site.
