Chapitre 22: You Distracted Me

 Of all things to do for fun, Ashely had never imagined street racing.

 She sat in the passenger seat of a blue sports car Chris had given with Nathan by her side. A young woman in a short skirt walked ahead and stood in the middle of Nathan and Chris' car. With a wink, she waved the flag in her hand.

 Once she waved, Ashley felt the car move in a flash. A rush of energy overcame her as she watched Nathan drive.

 Her eyes stayed on Nathan. There was something different about him; a spark in his eyes she had never seen before. Right now, he was no longer that stoic and indifferent husband of hers. And weirdly, she found herself relating to him.
