The smile on Fiona's face would forever be etched in her memory. She wore a triumphant smile. Mia wished she could turn and leave the place. But she had no idea where she was or how to get home. They had come in Declan's car. Plus, if she left that way, how would Declan feel?

Just like that, she moved back, putting enough space between them. Mia felt weak. She realized at that moment that she liked Declan as a friend. He had become part of her daily life.
