GABRIEL KNIGHT'S POV

"Gabriel, do I look ridiculous in this dress?" Elena asked, stepping out of her room.

I turned to look at her and my jaw nearly hit the floor. "Ridiculous? You look like you just stepped out of a fairytale. Seriously, if anyone looks ridiculous, it's me in this penguin suit."

She laughed, a sound that was like music to my ears. "Alright, Mr. Penguin, let's get this party started."i grinned thankful for how she feels comfortable with me already.

We entered the venue, the blue lights casting a cool, magical glow over everything. The music was soft, the atmosphere perfect for a night of pretending to be a happy couple. I held her hand a bit tighter as we navigated through the crowd, and I couldn't help but notice people glancing our way and whispering.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked quietly.
