Chapitre 165: Chapter 166: Spider-Man Joins the Questioning

"I understand Tony's anger. No one can remain calm when facing their father's murderer," Phil Coulson said on the side.

"I understand too, but I have to say, now is not the time to focus on this," Nick Fury slapped the table, "The whole Earth is on the brink of destruction, and all of humanity, even the entire universe, is facing annihilation. In this situation, personal grievances mean nothing!"

"I agree, but it's still Tony's parents we're talking about," Natasha Romanoff defended Tony Stark, "Give Tony some time."

"Bucky..." Nick Fury softly muttered the name, and a cold light flashed in his eye.

"Sir, you aren't thinking...?" Phil Coulson was right in front of Nick Fury, and he could clearly read his expression.

"If it's absolutely necessary, I won't hesitate," Nick Fury said in a serious tone.

"Bucky is Captain's good friend. If you really do that, Captain won't let you off," Phil Coulson said.

"Even if he kills me, so what?" Nick Fury didn't care, "Steve and Tony are the most important. As long as I can prevent their falling out and make them cooperate wholeheartedly against the enemy, I can do anything."

"Sir, are you planning to kill Bucky?" Natasha Romanoff finally understood, and she was shocked.

"Bucky's death would push Tony even further. But if Tony kills Bucky, that will be the end of him and Steve. However, if a third party unrelated to them kills Bucky, there won't be any issues between Steve and Tony," Nick Fury said in a low voice.

"Are you crazy?!" Natasha Romanoff exclaimed, "Captain won't spare you!"

"I already said, even if he kills me for avenging Bucky, so what?" Nick Fury said calmly, "In the face of future enemies, I won't be of much use. Whether I'm here or not won't make a big difference. But Steve and Tony, we can't afford to lose either of them."

"Sir, in the future of the questioning space, Bucky actually breaks free from HYDRA and stands on Captain's side, which means our side," Clint Barton spoke up, "He's also a super soldier, just as powerful as Captain. It would be a great shame to kill him."

"Why are you all so nervous? I didn't say I'm doing it right now. I don't want to harm our own people. I'm talking about the worst-case scenario," Nick Fury said, "Tony said he wouldn't take action until after dealing with Loki. We still have half a year to figure something out."

"Speaking of which, this Doctor Strange is really impressive," Nick Fury lightly tapped the desktop with his fingers, "He reflects another issue – that there's a group of sorcerers on Earth, and they might have existed for quite some time. Yet, no one has noticed their presence."

"You're right," Natasha Romanoff said, "Doctor Strange's kind of sorcery isn't something you acquire through genetic mutation. Someone must have taught and trained him. And when Thor came to Earth searching for Odin, Doctor Strange had many books on magic, even records of Asgardian magic. No matter where this sorcerer group is, they must have a profound background."

"If we can find this group..." Phil Coulson said, "We'll have gained a considerably powerful force."

"It won't be that easy," Natasha Romanoff said, "They have existed for so long without anyone noticing, which means they are masters at hiding their presence."

"They are sorcerers, capable of all sorts of unimaginable magic. I wouldn't find it strange if they could do it without a trace," Clint Barton said.

"That doesn't mean we'll give up looking for them, but right now, we have too much to deal with, and we don't need to invest too much effort," Nick Fury said, "Besides, they'll eventually contact Doctor Strange. We just need to stay in touch with him."

"True," Phil Coulson agreed.

"Coulson, go to Wakanda and share the information about this questioning with them," Nick Fury said.

"I heard that place is incredibly advanced, like something out of science fiction. I've been wanting to see it for a while," Phil Coulson said.

Although Nick Fury issued the order to Phil Coulson, he wasn't the only one going to Wakanda. He went with Clint Barton.

The reason was simple. Clint Barton had been to Wakanda before and was familiar with them. Additionally, he was a super soldier now, and having him along made Phil Coulson feel a sense of security.

Wakanda was not a place anyone could just enter. Without permission, others couldn't even find the entrance. Even if someone stumbled upon it by chance, they wouldn't be able to get in, as the protective shield could withstand even extraterrestrial spacecraft.

So before they went, Nick Fury made a phone call to T'Challa to discuss in advance.

"Why is it you guys?" A young black girl opened the protective shield for Phil Coulson and Clint Barton, clearly somewhat disappointed, "Where's Iron Man?"

"You must be Shuri. Tony is busy with the development of the new armor, so only we could come," Phil Coulson explained.

"I had some ideas I wanted to discuss with Iron Man, but I guess he's not coming!" Shuri shook her head, "Follow me! My brother is busy, but he knows you're coming, and he's speeding up. You'll see him soon."

"That Klaw, have you caught him?" Phil Coulson asked, "Do you need help from S.H.I.E.L.D.? You know, we're good at this."

"You want to make a deal with Wakanda? Are you here to buy our vibranium?" Shuri looked up at Phil Coulson, "You shouldn't be telling me these things because I'm just a clueless little girl."

"You may be a little girl, but you're definitely not 'clueless,'" Clint Barton smiled, "Being called a genius by that proud and arrogant guy Tony isn't something just anyone can achieve."

"Indeed, before you, I thought Tony was incapable of complimenting others," Phil Coulson added.

"Is this the guest from Wakanda? I thought they were warriors, but they're just two men in suits," a voice sounded, and a black man with white marks on his face and a black cloak approached first. Behind him followed seven or eight warriors, tall and strong, wearing red cloaks.

"Who is this?" Clint Barton looked at the newcomer with confusion.

"Wakabi, the leader of the Border Tribe," Shuri glanced at Wakabi, who was striding over, and couldn't help but say, "We're in trouble now."

"He seems unwelcoming to us?" Clint Barton remarked.

"It's not just you; Wakabi doesn't welcome any outsiders," Shuri explained in a low voice, "Ever since my brother invited you to Wakanda, he went to question him about the reason. He can't understand my brother's decision."

"So, it seems he hasn't received an answer," Phil Coulson said.

"It's not my brother's fault; it's just that the answer is too dreadful," Shuri said.

"Shuri, why are they here this time?" Wakabi walked over.

"They came to visit old friends," Phil Coulson said, "Our last time spent with T'Challa was pleasant, and I thought he might miss us, so we came to see him."

"Wakabi, my brother isn't planning to open Wakanda; he just made two friends. You don't need to be so alarmed," Shuri said.

"Shuri, you're wrong. I don't welcome outsiders, but if they're friends, I don't have a problem," Wakabi said, "You know what's most heartbreaking? T'Challa is my best friend, the most important friend in my heart. But obviously, in his heart, these newly acquainted friends are more important because he won't even tell me why they're coming to Wakanda."

"Wakabi, I can tell you that you are T'Challa's best friend," Shuri said.

"Then why did T'Challa keep it from me?" Wakabi asked, "Shuri, am I not trustworthy?"

"No, you're absolutely trustworthy, but..."

"Since T'Challa is tight-lipped, then I'll have to ask others." Wakabi interrupted Shuri and looked at Phil Coulson and Clint Barton, "So, you two men in suits, who can tell me the purpose of your visit to Wakanda?"

"Don't count me in; I actually don't like wearing suits," Clint Barton pointed at Phil Coulson, "He made me wear it, saying it's for an important guest visit, and I should pay attention to my attire."

"Mr. Wakabi, since you're T'Challa's best friend, you should trust him and believe that every decision he makes has its reasons, right? Even if he can't explain it to you for now," Phil Coulson shrugged, "But that's what best friends should do, silently support whatever decisions their friends make, right?"

"Very eloquent, typical of the 'suit-wearing' type," Wakabi said, "If that's what you say, then if I drive you out now, as T'Challa's best friend, he should silently support me, right?"

"Mr. Wakabi, it's impolite to drive guests away, isn't it?" Clint Barton said.

"You're right. However, you two are not my guests, let alone Wakanda's guests; you're only T'Challa's guests," Wakabi said coldly, "You have ten minutes to leave; otherwise, my people will help you."

"Wakabi, I understand your disappointment in me for not telling you, but driving guests away is not how we welcome people in Wakanda," a voice came, and T'Challa walked over.

"Wakabi, since you know, you shouldn't have hidden it from me!" Wakabi said.

"Wakabi, believe me, if I could tell you, I would tell you everything," T'Challa looked at Wakabi.

Wakabi stared at T'Challa for a few seconds, then turned and left.

"Too bad, I thought I'd witness Barton's grand display of power," Phil Coulson shrugged.

"Come on, my friends, let me see what the future holds this time," T'Challa warmly led Phil Coulson and Clint Barton away.

While Clint Barton and Phil Coulson were communicating with T'Challa in Wakanda, Tony Stark was busy in the basement researching Mark 42.

In the original timeline, Mark 42 wouldn't have been developed until after the Battle of New York, but now, because of the questioning space, that time had been brought forward quite a bit.

Being technology he developed himself, although the research progress was slightly more advanced than in the current timeline, fully understanding it was not an issue.

After weeks of tireless work, all the components of the Mark 42 armor were completed.

"Sir, give me a few more hours, and I'll calibrate it," J.A.R.V.I.S.'s voice sounded.

"No, I can't wait any longer," Tony Stark picked up a syringe and injected a sensor into his arm, "Microsensor injection completed."

"As you wish, sir. I've also prepared a safety guideline for you to ignore," J.A.R.V.I.S. added, playing that dark humor well.

"Of course, I'm ignoring it," Tony Stark said matter-of-factly, then he stood up, "Attention, ladies. Good evening, and welcome to the delivery room. I'm honored to announce that from today, you have gained another powerful brother."

"Why does this sound so familiar?" Tony Stark suddenly remembered that he had said the same thing in the video when he was researching Mark 42.

Then he remembered the scene in the video when a part hit him and sent him flying into the air.

"This time, I definitely won't be so embarrassed," Tony Stark focused and started making gestures.

It has to be said that this time, because he knew in advance that some parts of the armor were "mischievous," Tony Stark was very cautious. He carefully assembled all the parts, and this time, nothing went wrong.

"Haha, I'm indeed the best!" Tony Stark laughed as he activated the repulsors in his hands and feet, and the armor began to fly.

"Tony!" Just then, a voice called out.

"Pepper!" Upon hearing Pepper Potts' voice, Tony Stark instinctively turned his head, but this one turn caused the armor to fly unexpectedly in a direction he didn't anticipate.

And then...

Crash!

There was a loud noise as the armor crashed into a cleaning robot, scattering its parts all over the place. Tony Stark himself was left sprawled on the ground in a sorry state.

"Tony!" Pepper Potts was startled and hurried over, her face full of concern, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Tony Stark said, "It's just that I haven't slept for 72 hours, maybe it's been too long."

"Why are you pushing yourself so hard, Tony?" Pepper Potts showed her concern, "Do you know how worried you make people?"

"Who's worried? You?" Tony Stark asked.

"I'm worried!" Pepper Potts admitted, then quickly corrected herself, "And Happy, and your friends, we're all worried."

"Pepper, although I know it's not the best time to say this, I'm not prepared at all, and neither are you. In fact, I've been hesitating whether to say this, I'm a coward, but sometimes it's just weird, seeing you so worried about me, I suddenly wanted to say it..." Tony Stark rambled.

"What do you want to say? Tony." Pepper Potts interrupted Tony Stark's incoherent speech.

"Do you want to marry me, Pepper?" Tony Stark suddenly asked.

"Huh?" Pepper Potts was completely stunned.

Although the proposal was extremely impromptu, without flowers or a ring, Pepper Potts still agreed. Just as Tony Stark had fallen in love with her a long time ago, she had also secretly admired him.

A grand wedding was held.

The wedding attracted a lot of attention, as Tony Stark was not only a billionaire but also a superhero. Most of New York's business and political elites attended the wedding.

From the original Avengers, besides Thor being in Asgard, Steve Rogers, Bruce Banner, Natasha Romanoff, and Clint Barton were all present.

Also attending were War Machine James Rhodes, Falcon Sam Wilson, Doctor Strange Stephen Strange, Quicksilver Pietro Maximoff, Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff, Black Panther T'Challa, Phil Coulson, and, of course, the heavyweight guest, Nick Fury.

Basically, all the "answer friends" who had answered the questions together were present.

"Thank you all for coming..." Tony Stark was about to say something when suddenly everything went black around him.

"Come on, while I've always wanted the answering to open, why now?" Tony Stark shrugged helplessly. He had been pulled into the answering space at this moment!

He looked around, and this time, there were even more people in the answering space. All the "answer friends" from the wedding were pulled into it, and even Thor from Asgard appeared.

In addition to these old "answer friends," there were two new people in the answering space.

One was a middle-aged man.

One was an elementary school student.

That's right, the future immensely popular Spider-Man, Peter Parker, was now just a 10-year-old kid.

And the future Ant-Man, who could change the size of any part of his body and even his entire body, but was not very popular, was now a 3-year-old father.
