Chapitre 77: Ch 77: shocking everyone
"You disrespectful brat! I'll teach you a lesson that your parents obviously forgot!", one of the elder, that Yang Feng recognized the great elder of Ye clan shouted before attacking him. He used a palm technique and with great speed, that many couldn't even follow, appeared before Yang Feng.
Nearly everyone thought that Yang Feng would be sent flying with the palm attack, contributing to his age and how long ago the elder had broken through to the Above Immortal Ascension Realm. But...

What happened next was something unimaginable to the spectators. They saw as with blinding speed, the elder appeared before Yang Feng, ready to strike him. The next moment, just as the attack seemingly connected, the elder let out a loud howl of pain, along which came the sickening sound of something breaking. All the while Yang Feng stood there.
But when the people focused, they saw that Yang Feng wasn't really just standing. One of his hands was outstretched and was holding the elders wrist, which was undoubtedly and thoroughly broken, as could be seen with how it was twisted in an irregular direction.
Yang Feng looked at the elder with a neutral look and let go of his wrist. With his broken wrist free, the elder desperately retreated. But before he could retreat, Yang Feng swept his leg across his stomach, making the elder fly back and crashing into the ground.
With that done, he swept his eyes across the remaining seven elders who looked at him with wide eyes. Honestly, he was bored. He thought that he might get to stretch a bit but the results were ... Disappointing. He had only used the power of his physique in both the defense and attack, but he could tell that the old man he just kicked was already slightly injured.
It could be estimated that if he went all out, he might just kill the poor guy. Ignoring his disappointment he said to the seven, "if you're here to fight, than fight, there's no need for hypocrite statements and drama. Everyone here knows your all here for the supposed method of increasing cultivation speed that supposedly my brother has."
The elders looked at him with narrowed eyes and said, "and who do you think you are. You are a nobody that was adopted by a waste, you don't have a say in any of this! Yang Kai, this is the final warning, hand over the method to the eight clans and we will let you live." Said the great elder from Kang Clan.
Yang Feng broke out in a laugh, causing everyone to look at him and said, "You're right about one thing. I'm not a member of your 'Eight Great Clans' ...", hearing this the elder looked satisfied... But Yang Feng's next words made him regret what he had said.
"... But do I even need to be? A measly alliance of eight clan among whom only old fogies who have reached the 'Transcendent Realm'. As for me having any say in this? Well news flash for you, the method your after belongs to me and even Yang Kai doesn't know about it..." By now everyone was stunned by the two sentences he spoke.
Yang Feng had deliberately said Transcendent Realm, to make a point. A point that, they (the eight clans) are nothing but frogs at the bottom of the well and knew nothing about how broad the world really was. The second statement directly nulled their argument that he doesn't have a say in this, as the method they so seek belongs to him.
The faces of the elders were red with anger and a bit of humiliation, which increased as they felt a sense of fulfilment and connection with the term 'Transcendent Realm' from their being, from their cultivation. They knew what this meant and they didn't like it one bit.
For a long time, the people of the world have tried to name the 'Above Immortal Ascension' Realm, such as the Mortality Ascending Realm. But those names didn't make them feel right, as if the heavens didn't acknowledge the name for some reason. But now a boy less than twenty years old, told them the name of this realm that even they who were many times his age couldn't figure out and to make it worse, heaven seem to acknowledge the name, as if it was supposed to be like this.
But all that shock they were feeling quickly turned into fear as they felt a chill down their spines, this chill was followed by a voice, "... There is one thing your are wrong about and foolish to even say that to my face." The aura and pressure Yang Feng released suddenly exploded making them unconsciously take a step back.
"Yang Ying Feng, my father, isn't a waste.", suddenly all that aura and pressure along with Yang Feng himself disappeared from his place. But the very next second everyone heard another shout of pain and turned to see as Yang Feng stood where Great Elder Kang once stood.
Before they could process what had happened, they heard a boom as something crashed into a nearby building. Before they could react, Yang Feng again disappeared and they heard another shout and followed by a series of explosion originating from the first place.
At this the others finally reacted and rushed towards the place where they felt Yang Feng and Elder Kang. Reaching there, the first thing the other great elders did was surround elder Kang, separating him from Yang Feng who ignored them and looked at the now bleeding elder kang, kneeling on the ground with blood flowing from his mouth and arms which appeared to be broken.
'hmmm, should I kill these fogies? .... Nah! They're still useful to keep the casualties low in the war, or the other clans will be destroyed quite easily.', Yang Feng thought as he was started to get a bit annoyed. 'but first...'
He looked at his group, including Ling Taixu, who had also appeared beside him, and simply said, "hold the others for a second."
Saying this, he ignored the sighs from the two old man and the slight 'hn' from the two young women, and used his Void Steps to appear in front of elder Kang and delivered a moderately power Dragon Fist.
The dragon phantom from his fist engulfed the elder's form and pushed back, causing havoc in it's wake. The other seven elders, including the previous elder Ye who wanted to intervene, were held back by his four companions, not that they would be able to do anything anyways.
When the phantom desipated, except the destroyed buildings and dust, it only left a bloody body of the now dead elder Kang.
Everyone who had observed all this, including Ling Taixu, were stunned, with the people of the eight clans being horrified. The entire area fell silent as they all first looked at the once mighty elder now lying in his blood and then looked at the person who caused it, Yang Feng, who didn't look even a bit different since the start.
Yang Feng then shifted his eyes to the seven who now looked at his figure in fear and worry and concealed humiliation and said, "do you wish to continue?", this seemingly simple question stuck them heavily.
They had came here to force a member of the Eight Great Clans to hand over his method of faster cultivation that had strengthened his followers greatly. But now, they were stopped, humiliated, suppressed and defeated by someone hundreds of years their junior, not to mention that he without any effort on his part killed one of them, with all of them having the same level of strength it was a concerning matter for them.
Seeing that they didn't reply, Yang Feng snorted and with his group retreated. The elders not daring to stop him as no matter how united they portrayed themselves, still valued their own lives.
With that, his group and Yang Kai's people retreated to the mansion under the eyes of fear and awe of everyone around.
The news of this matter quickly reached the Capital City, which produced a shock throughout the entire City. No one was willing to believe the news at first but when the broken and bloody body of the Kang great elder was presented to his clan, the other clan reluctantly believed it.
No one among the great clans thought that something like this would happen. They grew prideful and greedy and now they were slapped in the face by someone in the younger generation and their ancestor (Great Elder) level figures were collectively suppressed by him, with one even being killed.
The Kang Clan was the one who had suffered the most, with their great elder dead. This made them angered and demand a revenge, but the clan head being a smart person knew that that won't happen. Not when their enemy could kill Above Immortal Ascension Realm or as they now know Transcendent Realm Cultivators with ease and them not even having a figure of that level now, making them now the weakest of the eight clans.
After that event, the inheritance war seemed to have come to a halt, as the clans didn't eliminate Yang Kai nor were any of the three participants were making a move. The members of Yang Kai's Mansion were excited upon seeing the previous battle and worked extra hard on their cultivation. Two days after that event, Yang Feng and Su Yan were again cultivating and were again interrupted by a knock on the door.
Using their divine sense to see that the one who knocked was Xia Ning Chang, the two involuntarily smiled as Yang Kai said, "Come in". Xia Ning Chang came inside and smiled upon seeing him.
After greeting the two she told Yang Feng that Bi Luo, about whom he had told them about when telling them about Shan Qing Luo, was here to see him. Yang Feng narrowed his eyes at this as he had a suspicion what it was that Bi Luo came here for.
The three left the room and entered the main hall. Just outside the door of the main hall, the three heard two voices loudly bickering back and forth, even by just listening to the bickering Yang Feng could imagine what type of warzone would be inside the room. the voices as Yang Feng recognized belonged to Yang Kai and Bi Luo.
'She wasn't joking when she said they had an argument and by the looks of it, it was a nasty one.', Yang Feng thought back to what the middle-aged women in Shan Qing Luo's manor told him.
Pushing open the doors, Yang Feng entered the hall. When he did, the bickering stopped as the two turned to look at him, along with Qiu Yi Meng and Hu sisters who were also in the room. When Yang Feng looked at Bi Luo, he noticed that she held his gaze with reluctant, critical and slightly helpless eyes, as if he was her nemesis but she couldn't do anything to him.
Knowing the reason for her gaze would be his relationship with Shan Qing Luo, he turned a blind eye to it and asked, "why are you here, Bi Luo?". Even though he had a hunch what her answer would be, he still asked as he didn't know for sure.
