Enemies are too challenging. Cassie was in a horrible position, but the opposite driver ducked skillfully. "Slow down," she told Blake. "I'm sick of these!" Her cheeks grew bright red with rage. She had more bullets, but she became frustrated because she could only knock down one car.

"I can't. They'll catch us," answered Blake with his eyes focused on the road.

"I'll take care of it. Slow down!"

Blake glared at her. "Can you just sit there and let me think? I can't think straight with your skull out the window!"

"I want to help you; I know what I'm doing. Just trust me, okay?" Cassie knows men like Blake, who are used to being bossy, and she can't boss them around even if she raises her voice. The effective method for this man is to plead with tenderness. She must soothe the beast's ego.

"Fine! I'm tired, too. Let's take care of them right here!" His jaw tightened. His eyes narrowed in impatience.
