Cassie stayed rooted to the spot, silently listening to the conversation between Theo and Orly.

Questions lingered in her mind—why did Alison choose to escape? Knowing the consequences that awaited her, why did she leave the safety of the Smith mansion?

Theo's voice cut through the air, commanding Orly to call Perez. The mention of Perez sent a shiver down Cassie's spine. That man was trouble, and she prayed he wouldn't be involved in this situation. But Theo seemed determined to bring someone from Santiago's Clan inside the mansion.
