Chapitre 40: YOU ARE HURT, I FEEL THE PAIN

Now both of them are on the balcony of the room, both looking at the night sky and the smile of an Ametsa that feels real.

"Why do you keep smiling?" asked the man with raised eyebrows. "I noticed, every time you look at the night sky, you always smile."

"Didn't you already know that?" said Ametsa with a raised eyebrow. "Do I need to answer?"

The man was silent for a moment before finally sighing. "No need, I already know the answer. Because it's like a routine for you when you look up at the sky every night."

At this moment, Ametsa looked at the person beside her with teary eyes, as if she had found the person she had always wanted.

"You know everything, maybe even about me, a lonely little girl. But why don't you ever want to show your face? Are you scary?"

Not sad because of the last words from Ametsa, but the man at this moment felt confused and didn't know where to start to say it. This was all too much for him to answer the question that had just been addressed to him, so he was now really afraid that he would not be able to answer it.

"Ametsa, I want to tell you the truth, which you might find hard to believe or maybe the other way around, I don't know. But I beg of you, listen while I want to say it."

Because of his words, at this time Ametsa was made curious about what the person in front of her wanted to say to her.

"Okay, I'll listen to you. What do you know about this dream world?"

"Didn't you ask something else earlier, then why are you asking about the dream world now?"

Instantly the girl licked her lips with both eyes looking the other way before finally clearing her throat and looking back at the person in front of her at this time.

"If you don't want to answer, now it's my turn to ask you a question. It's been a long time since I wanted to ask this, but I always forget when I'm with you, haha."

"Indeed, what do you want to ask?"

"You always say that I never show you what my face looks like. Then why do you still want to talk to me this close? Aren't you scared? Shouldn't you have run and screamed for help when you saw me?"

Hearing this made Ametsa think, her eyebrows immediately rose with her arms folded across her chest.

"Hm, you're right, but why am I only thinking about it now, huh?"

The man raised an eyebrow and said, "Then what is your answer?" he asked seriously.

"I don't know," answered Ametsa confidently. "I only realized this after you said it."

After that, the man immediately shook his head because he didn't get any answer from the person beside him at this time.

"I'm not human, so I don't know what it's like to be like you, Ametsa. But all I know is that I was born just for you, that's all."

"You always say the same thing to me, since 12 years ago. Even your name I don't know, but you are for me. I don't understand all this, about this dream world, about you and why I can talk to you in a world that would be hard to believe exists for a human-like me."

"Who are you going to tell what you've been through?" the man asked. "Do you think they will listen to you? Will they believe everything you say? After all, this is a dream world, where only you can be here."

"Only me?" said Ametsa surprised. "You're kidding, right?"

"No, Ametsa. I'm serious this time, only you, I mean, the chosen ones. I was assigned to be born into a dream world to take care of you and keep you company."

Ametsa's brows furrowed as soon as she heard what the mysterious man had just said to her.

"Are you sure that's all you know?"

"Yeah, I just know that. I still haven't found any other answers to all my questions. All I know is, every time you cry, I feel the pain, and vice versa. I..."

"What?" asked Ametsa curiously.

"I'm kind of attached to you, Ametsa."

Ametsa's heart beat faster than usual after hearing the confession just said by the man who was currently behind her.

"No, it's probably just how you feel. Forget it, I'm sure you're wrong this time."

The man who heard it was instantly silent with thoughts that continued to say that what Ametsa said was indeed true.

"Yeah, you're right, maybe it's just my feelings. It could be that what I feel is wrong, you're right."

Although, for some reason, there was a feeling of unwillingness when he said that so he now lowered his head pretending to smile.

"You know that I don't believe in any of this, right?"

Silence, made Ametsa immediately turn her body back and see someone was bowing his head.

"You didn't hear me?" she continued. "What happened to you?"

"Ah, I'm sorry, Ametsa. What were you talking about?"

The girl who heard it immediately sighed, then turned her face to another direction before finally saying again, "You know that I don't believe in all this, right?" she asked again.

"Y-yes, I know that. You never said you believed in everything that was happening right now."

"Good, hope you understand because I need time to understand you."

The man's smile suddenly appeared after hearing what the girl in front of him had just said.

"You don't have to do that, let me understand you, Ametsa."

"What?" said Ametsa surprised. "Isn't that unfair?"

"I was born for you, that means everything I have to do for you, including your happiness."

Ametsa gazed at the mysterious man in front of her now, it had been all this time, but the girl was still in awe of him. The figure of the man she had longed for since childhood.

"You are like a Prince, a figure I have longed for since childhood, like in a fairy tale."

"Ametsa..."

"You---" Before the girl could continue her words, the man in front of her immediately carried Ametsa back to the bed. "You must return to your world, goodbye, and until we meet again."

"W-wait!"

After that Ametsa didn't see anything anymore, everything turned dark and at the same time, she heard Daniel's voice knocking on the door making her who knew this immediately opened her eyes slowly.

"AMETSA, YOU ARE NOT WAKE UP?!"

Ametsa immediately got up from her bed, then yawned for a while before finally wiping her eyes and turning towards a bedroom door that was knocked loudly from outside.

"AMETSA!!!"

"I'M WAKE UP, GO!"

"OK, I WAIT FOR YOU AT THE DINING TABLE. DON'T TOO LONG BECAUSE WE'RE GOING TO WORK!"

"YES, I KNOW THAT. ALREADY, GO, I WANT A BATH."

Outside Daniel who heard it immediately sighed and shook his head before finally leaving in front of his friend's room.

"Don't you have someone to accompany you?"

"I have always been here for years. To me, they are like someone who is always there for me."

"They?" repeated the man with a furrowed brow while gazing at the flower plants around him. "You mean these flowers?"

"Yes, those who are trying to be born with good wishes."

"Won't they still leave you?"

"I know, but it was all fate, and I couldn't possibly keep him here. They have someone who needs them more, and I'm just here to raise them, watching them grow so fast that everyone can go see their mates."

"Then you?"

Masao smiled, always like that every time the man in front of him saw him as if depicting that this was him with an eternal destiny.
