Vincenzo Santoro strolled into his bedroom, tired from the day's activities. They were finally done with the preparations for the next phase of his company, and he was well and truly exhausted.
He had gone through the whole week in an adrenaline rush that had left him so tired he could feel his bones melting. All he wanted to do was sleep. At least that was his initial plan until he heard a knock on his door.
"No, Zino," he groaned painfully into his pillow. He refused to answer in hopes that whoever it was would get the message and leave, but unfortunately, it wasn't the case.
The pounding on the door kept getting worse and was even joined by loud chatter. Jumping out of his bed in frustration, he stormed towards the door.
"What is it?" He yelled, yanking the door open. He stopped when he saw Valerie and a panicking Zino just behind her.
"I told her you didn't want to be disturbed, but she wouldn't listen," Zino cried desperately.
