*General POV*
As Eddard Stark and his bannermen headed south to begin pushing the Ironborn from the Riverlands while Robert moved his army from the Westerlands, eventually joining forces for the final push to besiege Pike. Putting an end to Balon Greyjoy's rebellion.
In Kings landing shortly after Tommen was born; Jon Arryn, seeing the 3rd child with yellow hair as well, began to investigate further into all the children Robert had born from whores.
Due to Jon Arryn spending more time researching whether the princess and 2 princes were in fact Roberts, he began missing more small council meetings.
Seeing an opportunity to create more chaos Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish decided to use the rebellion to embezzle as much from the crown as possible to speed his own plans along as quickly as possible.
Varys, or more popularly known as the Spider couldn't make heads or tails of the whispers his birds sing of the "Silver pup" as the northerners have already nicknamed him due to his hair.
Unsure of what to believe, all kinds of fanciful tales.
The boy speaking to animals and walking on water.
Fire and Ice shooting from his window at random intervals of the night.
It was always the downfall of using children, especially in the north. Getting children into the north to get him information was the worst.
He had one of the biggest spy networks of the time, mainly children were employed by him to gather information across two continents. Westeros and Essos.
But the North was a harsh place, even during the summer.
He has sneaked in a few merchants to validate these whispers but there wasn't any luck.
He wasn't surprised, after all northerners weren't very trusting or welcoming to many southerners due to them overcharging for food to the north.
But he had a few more seasoned bird that where already on there way to bring news regarding the two Targaryen siblings, Viserys and Daenerys the last known living decendants of the Mad King.
He knew the Starks had no Targaryen blood, they did come from a line a magic of their own.
Starks where one of the most ancient noble lines in Westeros. Descended from Bran the Builder, a legendary First Man who lived during the Age of Heroes.
Originally as vassels in the North to the Barrow Kings, rebelled and eventually conquered the North.
Taking all the magical abilities of the various peoples and marrying them all to house Stark.
Even though the south may call them barbarians and savages, they win wars.
They were able to resist the Andal Invasion while also fighting an internal power struggle with house Bolton fully conquering the North.
The Starks remained the King of Winter until Torrhen Stark submitted to Aegon the Conquer, bringing an end to the War if Conquest.
The Spider was well aware of its history and myths. Deciding to send the bird north once it arrives from Essos, he needs to confirm the whispers of magic in the North before he brings anything up to the council. If there was one thing he abhorred most was magic.
*Maester Luwin POV*
Brilliant, such a bright boy and a natural scholar, altho sometimes I wonder what goes through his head. After a year of silently observing Cyrus, his curiosity and techniques in experimenting are like nothing I've seen.
For a few days I watched him pick up random things, stare at it for a bit then throw it way randomly picking up a rock or flower on further.
Occasionally I would see him dig in an area and take something out of the ground.
Using the oldest trick in the book, on our next lesson I left some sweet lemon cakes out ising the distraction to check his pouch.
Inside I found some plants and roots many of which I know for medicinal uses like [Peacebloom], [Silverleaf], [Mageroyal] were ones I knew about for medical use, I also knew of the other's but I didn't remember anything on their uses.
I watched him leave the castle and sneak into the catacombs, where he burned some oceanic seaweed creating ashes then did what his usual of mixing it with sand.
I have seen him do this lots of times, but each time he used a different plant.
He would mix the ash in with sand and the powdered limestone he spent at least an hour grinding.
But after seeing what he created almost made me yelp in surprise getting me found out.
The boy had just created glass from burnt seaweed ashes, sand he had gathered near the lake or river and the powder from that rock.
Not only that but its quality is much better than Myr sells. The income house Stark could make from what the young lord made could feed a long winter even with the Reach selling food at more than double the cost.
I must inform Lord Stark of this wonderful discovery.
The knowledge this boy has can only be explained by the Gods, a 6 year old just made something the Citadel has been trying to replicate for years. In a matter of weeks he was not only able to create it but began to shape it into glass containers of some kind.
I will have to keep an even closer look at his methods.
Maybe it just seems strange to me because I dont understand it enough.
More observations will be needed. But damn I'm starting to feel like I'm watching the young lord too much.
The things done for the quest of knowledge, I think its time I find a young scholar to tend the books and copy the ones that are close to being lost due to time.
*Cyrus Stark POV*
So good news and bad. Bad news is I cant create new skills.
I had to inspect like a thousand random objects to see if I could create the skill but didn't work. But due to [Herbalism] I was able to locate some herbs to begin leveling what professions I could.
Plus with some starter potions like:
[Elixir of Lion Strength] : Increased Strength by 4 for 1 hour.
So basically it would triple my strength putting me on par with at least a squire, maybe even stronger.
Although, I have no idea what an adults strength but Im 6 years old and have a 2 in everything except Intelligence where I have 4.
Due to me still being level 1 tbe [Heroic Presence] not really helping my adding 1% of 2 so its 2.1%
But I don't really want to kill an animal unless I have too but I know all the animals around the Godswood so I'm going to need to head outside Winterfell and Wintertown.
Thankfully I have Fenryr, my direwolf companion who I named her cause thats what she reminded me of, the wolf that can be found in the [Halls of Valor]. She will be able to ride me far quickly.
But after finding out that since I wasnt level 15 I couldn't mount anything.
[Gamer Body], [Gamer Mind] and [Gamer Soul] not as originally advertised. Sure it allows me to level up but not I find it restricting.
Oh... my..... GOD..... What if Robb wants to ride horses and I can't stay on for longer than a second how will I live that down! I CALL FOUL!!
This cant happen, Robb must not know this. I must level up to at least 15.
Damn, why do I got to be 6 I swea... how could I have forgot about [Bag of Tricks] he.. he.. isn't there a rebellion going on. Free group exp, time to easy mode this. All I got to do is throw some random rocks at everyone I see, even if I only get 0.1 exp there's got to be thousands.
Ha Ha Ha. I'm a genius.
So before I head out, first I need to prep, something Uther the Lightbringer had trained into Arthas.
Running over to the blacksmiths area I located the pile of leather spraps and twine.
Using some engineering skills to fasion a few straps creating a safe harness for Fenryr I then proceed to very carefully not let my RPG OCD it grind and grind kick in too harshly since I have sove experience points to siffon.
Robb will definitely find out my weakness in riding. He's been keeping an eye out lately. Thank the Gods I never tried mounting one in front of people.
See... laying low has its perks too.
Before I could easily supplement my constant OCD to improve a skill to the max possible.
I had already gotten a little carried away a bit when I worked on engineering.
Thank the Gods for inventory bags. In front of me sat. [Linen Bag] x10 and thanks to my racial [Alpaca Saddlebags] instead of the normal 6 slots it was 14. Each stack filled to the max with enough
[Rough Dynamite] : Inflicts 26 to 34 fire damage in a 5 yard radius. (1 min cooldown)
to probably blow up Winterfell. I just got to stay hidden. I been trying to use [Stealth] but unknown why I can't use it. Not in combat. Well I'm sure it'll all work out.
"Alright Fenryr heres the plan..... now lay down so I can tie myself to you so I can't fall off.
Good girl.... alright I think this will work... Get up and move slowly..... Yes..Yes.. Yes.. I'm a genius.. Eat it Robb.... To Riverlands!!!"
