Not long after word got to the North regarding the deaths of Cersei, Jamie and Joffrey as well as the royal titles of Myrcella and Tommen recalled, Cyrus found that he had gained five new shadows. The three Sand sisters, Myrcella and Shireen had decided to mimic Alexstrasza, they had gotten jealous of her and decided if she could follow him so could they. Julia Celeste even followed occasionally.
Cyrus didn't mind, they were actually quite useful. They had picked out professions and constantly cooked and brought him meals and helped with his designs. They had also gotten stronger.
Myrcella was originally attuned to the druid which she almost took after seeing Shireen turn into different animals, but when she had heard about Cyrus being primarily a paladin she chose that class. She unfortunately didn't get to see the fight but the fight was turned into ballets and songs sung by bards, as well a new legendary tale of the four headed Lord Marrowgar versus the Angelic War Wolf. She wanted to bring hope to people, she and her brother didn't care for the royal title. She had already known who her real father was long ago, she was still saddened by their deaths the same as Tommen. But she did have a light in that darkness, she felt safe and warm around Cyrus, he acted like a beacon of light. She wanted to be that for him as well as anyone else that may need it, that desire is what attuned her to the paladin class. That was the difference between a knight and a paladin, both are warriors that protect the weak, but a paladin not only protects but guides those that are lost. They strive to keep up hope in the world, they would lay down their lives in order to do so.
Myrcella even recruited Justicar Julia to help train her, Julia gladly did so and even invited her into the Order of the Silver Hand which Myrcella happily joined.
Tommen too chose a class, he went Druid and stuck to it unlike his sister. Tommen loved animals especially cats so when he found out he could turn into one eventually he wanted to level. Finding Arya more than willing to take him they began going out together often, he had grown a crush on Arya. Although Arya had always acted as if she didn't care, everyone could tell she was also becoming fond of him. He was a very well mannered boy, innocent and kind like his sister, they both were completely opposite their older brother Joffrey. In fact in the beginning Tommen had trouble leveling, he wasn't accustomed to fighting. Seeing Arya move and attack without hesitation he was driven by his desire to improve and to make sure Arya was safe.
Not long after the tourney Moat Cailin had been completed, all towers were rebuilt and a few additional defenses were added. They drastically increased its northern defenses as well as improved offensive capabilities towards the north. Originally it was only designed to defend from the swamps in the south and the surrounding waters, but now they could defend from both directions.
Jorah Mormont had been forced to abdicate the head of his house to his aunt Maege Mormont, he had married Lynesse Hightower who had very expensive tastes. She only married him due to the Mormont's having made a lot of gold with their new alcohols they were exporting. However even with such an increase in wealth for their family, Jorah had almost bankrupted them by allowing his young wife free reign of spending. Needless to say Lynesse left him once he was no longer given free reign of the family wealth, even with his sizable portion of his income was still quite high it wasn't enough for her. After she left him he decided to join his father Jeor at the Wall, he was too ashamed to stay on Bear Island and face his family. He was tired of all the 'I told you so' looks he was receiving.
Lyanna Mormont upon arriving in Winterfell with her mother to bend the knee after her mother took over had developed a crush on Bran and had decided to stay in Winterfell. Wintertown outside of Winterfell soon began to fill up steadily. Usually it was only used during winter and empty the rest of the time, but now with the Free Folk south of the wall and southerners migrating north for better opportunities the whole north was seeing population booms.
They had the land but not enough towns or cities, even with Barrowtown now available for the Starks to place another lord the existing keeps were packed.
Ned Stark began restoration of all existing keeps including Winterfell as well as the construction of more forts along strategically chosen defensive as well as offensive locations against any enemy beyond the wall or south as well as by sea. Luckily they had Giants and Children of the Forest so construction and restoration of any damaged magic buildings or defenses could be easily done and quickly. Cyrus and his shadows would assist in getting bases set up beyond the wall as well, they protected crews of construction works until appropriate defenses could be set up. This way they would have an early detection system for large attacks on the wall, the forward bases could slow the advance and word can travel back to the wall thru each base's communication.
Bran was given Barrowtown to rule and Robb had the Moat. Cyrus was given the gift and everything north of it to manage, upon gaining his official title and lands he had received a couple new achievements within his own class.
[Symbol of Hope] : You have achieved renown and became a symbol of hope for the living, all stats increased by 10 and four cities can be chosen.
[Return of Lordaeron] : You have achieved land ownership allowing the return of the line of Menethil, granted Stormwind City and increase in all stats by 20.
Within his inventory he found one golden land deed and four white ones, upon placement they would magically construct Stormwind City and whichever city he writes on the four white ones.
Stormwind City was the largest human city left on Azeroth and was a marvel of human design and engineering. It was home to the Academy of Arcane Science and the Cathedral of Light. It was made up of canals that separated its districts and gave it access to the sea as well as an underground railroad system which allowed it to connect to other cities, allowing fast transportation between cities.
Cyrus waited until the middle of the night and with Alexstrasza's help he placed Stormwind City in the middle of the gift south of Castle Black. After placing the gold land deed on the ground it sank down into it, a large magic circle began to expand outward encompassing a large area. Stormwind City could hold around 200,000 people comfortably. Tops of buildings began to rise from the magic circle as if they were plants. Within minutes Stormwind City was whole, it even came with some human inhabitants such as trainers, merchants and a council. It had a bank, auction house, shops and inns along with residential areas. The canals didn't just stop within the city, they spread out past the city and made a canal connecting fully east and west to the sea. He then traveled to a large mountain that was in the east of the gift that was rich in many mineral and metal deposits, wrote Ironforge on one of the deeds and placed it near an opening on the mountain. Again he received a fully constructed city, it too came with dwarven inhabitants to run the forges and amenities as well as a council he could use to govern it.
His next stop was the Bay of Seals where he wrote Bilgewater Harbor and placed it on the ground. Now the north would have another port which would be close to Skagos, Cyrus planned on getting Skagos back under the north and having a harbor would allow easy access and it would allow him to build ships.
The other two he went with the flying city of Dalaran and Boralus which was another port city which he placed in the Bay of Ice in the west of the gift. Each city was connected by the underground railroad under Stormwind, except for Dalaran due to it floating in the sky above Stormwind. He chose Dalaran as a forward command base he can move and it had its own portal system for ease of travel.
As you can imagine the following few days were pandemonium, when Westeros found out about Cyrus' magical cities that appeared out of nowhere and that he had a floating city many journeyed to see for themselves.
Upon seeing Stormwind City and Dalaran floating above many were shocked at the sight. Only the well traveled merchants who have seen the far east were not as shocked at Stormwind due to Yi Ti was very developed as well, but Dalaran was a whole other thing. A large city that could hold a population of approximately 3,000 people that could float was something they would've never even dreamed of seeing.
Upon finding out about Ironforge just about every blacksmith who heard about it pretty much packed up and went to move there, it took some time for people to get accustomed to the dwarfs but they quickly got along. Dwarfs were excellent craftsmen and they gained respect and admiration very quickly.
Cyrus received multiple requests from lords and ladies alike wanting to move into his cities, he allowed all but Dalaran since that would be for his military strength. He made Dalaran into the new Headquarters for the Knight Order of the Silver Hand. Although the populace didn't like that they couldn't live in a floating city, once they found out it was a military facility no one made any fuss. The other cities were also beautiful, especially Stormwind. Ironforge was underground so it was slower to fill, although it was safe many people enjoyed seeing the sky so not too many non profession commoners chose there. Almost every blacksmith, miner, jewel crafter and such did happily move there with their families. This did cause much stress in the south due to large amounts of professions leaving their towns and cities, especially with the Iron Bank, but thanks to the two additional ports in the Gift it was able to stabilize back out after a few months.
Cyrus was now wanting to focus on getting more people in the north, even with all the people who were moving north there was still plenty of space. He knew this was a battle of numbers and they would be outnumbered once Gul'dan was able to gain strength. He was able to get many of the people north of the wall that were south of the Land of Always Winter, but the lands north there was nothing he could do for them yet. Westeros was just a small section of land roughly the same size as Essos. What lay beyond Always Winter no one knew, but Cyrus knew that those lands and people were experiencing hell on earth. He knew where to get the extra people thanks to Julia and Daenerys, they had both suggested freeing the slaves and unsullied in the Free Cities of western Essos. Both of them spent more time in Essos than him and seen much more of the cruelty than he did. He also wanted to look for dungeons in Essos, he had found how to access some instances here in the north thanks to Leaf and Alexstrasza. It was the Heart trees, they could be used to enter instances but thanks to the Andels and the Citadel many Heart trees were destroyed so few remained. But that didn't mean more couldn't be grown, so he did task Leaf with replanting Weirwood trees and carving the faces onto them making them Heart trees. Slowly the North was beginning to return to the days of old when Weirwood trees were scattered all across the land. They had a few months till the Burning Legion sent their first wave which was already slowly heading to attack the wall, so Cyrus decided to use this chance to get a large group of unsullied and warriors from Essos.
When it was found out what Cyrus was going to do, Myrcella had told the other girls which spread like wildfire. Needless to say he was forced to bring all the girls, Jon Snow and Tommen. Cyrus finally found out why Jon Snow had turned down a lordship from his father, Jon wanted to travel and not have responsibilities like Robb and Bran. Although Robb and Bran were trying to mimic Cyrus with a council to run things while they leveled, it hadn't been fully established so they couldn't join.
