Peace... That was all he wished for but the world was cruel.
So he too became cruel and his name became synonymous with death and despair.
Yet in the end, after going through thousands of hardships he found out that everything was a lie. The stone tablet was forged...
Infinite Tsukiyomi was a lie, Peace itself was a lie.
Zetsu betrayed him, The stab didn't hurt but failing at the end did.
He, Madara Uchiha, had failed and died a pathetic death.
But it seemed like death wouldn't be so easy for him. Waking up in a dark place reminded him of the times he manipulated the young but kind heart of Obito Uchiha.
How he twisted and turned his simple love into hate for the world... but he didn't regret it, It was all for peace.
Groggily getting up he observed himself. He was wearing his usual red armor and he couldn't feel any kind of pain as well.
He instinctively touched the left side of his chest and noticed the Hashirama cells. He touched his face and the smooth skin surprised him.
He looked around and saw two pathways. One lead to darkness while one shone with light. Unconsciously he started heading towards the light.
As he exited the darkness the light hit his eyes which caused him to cover them up for a second. After adjusting to the light the sun came into his vision.
The blue sky was silent and the clouds hovered. People chatted away while shooting him weird looks but nonetheless ignored him.
Madara was shaken by the sudden change in atmosphere. He was sure of his death but here he was standing and observing these people calmly.
Carriages seemed to have been replaced by weird metal structures.
What was this? Where was he?
He followed the path that some people were walking. He listened to them talking but he found the language familiar but unfamiliar.
The chakra in the air was faint but it was mixed with some chaotic energy. It was dirty and disgusting.
Walking for a bit he arrived at what could be called a playground and found a few children playing happily.
His eyes grew weary looking at them.
Everything around him looked so futuristic.
'Have I been allowed to have a glimpse of the future?'
Walking around aimlessly he wondered if there was any library nearby. Would his glorious deeds be recorded in it? Thinking of this he chuckled in self-deprecation. He could already see the "The villain that got defeated and the heroes who saved the world." title.
But he wondered, had what he been fighting for achieved? He tapped the shoulder of a nearby civilian. It was a guy with glasses holding a book. He had short black hair and an average face.
He turned around feeling the tap on his shoulder. But what he saw caused him to nearly fall, A tall man with long spiky black hair wearing somewhat historical armor was glaring down at him.
He almost fell due to the pressure. 'Why do I have to be targeted by a bully that cosplays, *Sigh*.'
He suddenly heard the man say, "Lbrarry."
'Damn even his voice is scary, but what is he saying? Is he a foreigner?' He then saw the man point at his book and say again, "Librerry."
In understanding, he blurted out, "The Library?"
The man nodded which caused him to sigh in relief. It seemed like he wasn't here to pick on him.
"Follow me," As if understanding he silently followed the nerd with glasses.
While they were walking he mustered up the courage to ask his name, looking back he asked, "Hey! My name is Ryu Ichimoto, What's yours?"
The man tilted his head in confusion before nodding in understanding, "Madara, Uchiha Madara."
Ryu marveled at the cool name but didn't say anything about it. He tried to make short talk but Madara ignored him the whole walk which caused him to sigh in exasperation.
After a couple of minutes, they entered the library and Madara looked around curiously. He looked at Ryu, "Where do I find books on history?"
He had been observing people along the way which allowed him to speak the language appropriately, after all the language he spoke wasn't too different than the one these people were using.
Ryu heard him speak fluently which surprised him a bit but the voice filled with authority didn't allow him to question it.
"Over there." He pointed at a certain section of the library, he was a regular here so he knew. With that, he scurried away and went to read books he wanted to.
Madara walked towards where he pointed and took out a random book. Opening it he noticed that the written language (Japanese) wasn't that different at least.
Reading through it his expression changed multiple times.
'Either this book is fabricated or... I'm not in the same world anymore. Was I on another "planet"? Black Zetsu did call the land I lived on a planet and said that there were many more out there.'
After the betrayal, Madara found it hard to believe anything Black Zetsu had said till now but for now, that was the best explanation he could come up with.
The book stated that humans hunted in the wild and found about fire accidentally. He had read no such thing in the Land Of Fire.
The chakra here was very impure as well. He had noticed the invisible smoke released by those metallic structures and how it mixed with the air.
Was this the cause?
Maybe.
Reading further he noticed that even without the power of chakra humans still found ways to fight and wars ensued. He laughed cynically reading this.
His ideology was correct and so was his goal. Humans, no matter what would find ways to conflict. The Sin of Greed was heavy here.
He found it ridiculous that even without chakra humans managed to commit wars with the casualty of millions. Guns? Bombs? Tools to slaughter. Nuclear Weapons were similar to Tailed Beasts.
In the end, the book stated that another war was unlikely to happen with other countries keeping each other in check and that the 'United Nations' managed them.
Was this considered peace? Well, somewhat but it didn't state that war would ABSOLUTELY not happen again but the consequences of it would be detrimental to everyone, which they had realised.
Was this what Hashirama wanted to do when he stupidly distributed the tailed beasts? Ultimately it worked for a bit but it was better to not have such power than to bless others with them.
If Madara had such control of the tailed beasts he would rather attack and control every outside village to merge with the leaf village. Sure it would cause dissatisfaction but there was a reason why absolute power was above all.
Then the only war would be a civil war, that was still manageable but that damned Hashirama and his idealistic views.
But this world had somehow managed peace for quite a few decades. Which caused a little happiness in his heart. Maybe he didn't need to make a move, Should he observe this world for guidance? It was flawed but still better than the world they lived in.
But was he even alive? Was all of this a dream? It was very very realistic if it was one. His dreams would never contain a world like this though. It was impossible.
It was hard... Even if he could somehow return to his motherland, Should he strip everyone of chakra and enforce rules like this?
He wasn't impervious to new ideas, no matter what he had failed once. He would need to be flexible. His heart was determined, For his clan, for his brother, and for ultimately peace.
No one could shake his ideals, No one would be able to stop him this time. This time he would be ready for everything.
He unconsciously let out a sigh.
These things aside he needed to properly learn about this world.
Time passed as he activated his Sharingan and read through every book he could. There was a level he had to pay for but who could stop him?
It was late and his reading was interrupted by Ryu. "Eh, You're still reading?"
Madara frowned at him before ignoring him, "Well did you come with some friend? You know where you're home is right?" After all, this person could barely speak earlier and didn't even know the way to the library.
He wouldn't mind helping him again.
"...Home" Madara muttered under his breath.
He closed his eyes and looked at Ryu. His Sharingan spun and Ryu lost himself to the beauty of those eyes.

Madara was sitting on the couch carefully observing the thing known as 'T.V'. It was wonderful.
He was going to live in Ryu's house for now. He would move away when he found a settlement for himself.
Him, Madara Uchiha, sleeping on the streets? Unacceptable!
