Chapitre 62: Chapter 62: What Do You Like?

Unnoticed by the young girl, a man with nondescript features clad in all black had already reported the day's events to a certain young master in the UK. It was several hours later in the early morning by the time Gu YuChen saw the contents of Xiao Yi's email. He was understandably worried however the fact Su Ning didn't text or call to discuss today's events with him meant she intended to resolve matters on her own.

Gu YuChen was not particularly close with the Lin Family so he wasn't as familiar with the goings on in their family. He had heard some unsavory rumors about the older Lin brother however nothing was confirmed. Being the subject of several fallacious rumors himself, he was hesitant to take decisive action against a member of the Lin Family without first confirming its validity.

Quickly coming to a decision, Gu YuChen called Xiao Ni to have Lin Feng discreetly investigated. Afterwards he called Xiao Yi to give the following order, "Keep a closer watch on Su Ning. Make sure she doesn't get hurt."

Days passed and things quickly went back to normal. To Su Ning's pleasant surprise, Secretary Xu had not reached out to her to schedule a lunch with Lin Feng. Assuming the young master had already forgotten about the promise, Su Ning was able to happily return to her usual routine.

In fact, Lin Feng had not forgotten his intention to have lunch with Su Ning. He'd only been purposefully biding his time to make her feel comfortable in the interim before he struck. The result will be much more enjoyable this way. Lin Feng relished watching the beautiful girl tense up and squirm in his presence. Right now she is under his little brother's protection but it wouldn't be much longer until he has to leave the country. It wasn't even that Lin Feng was concerned about Lin JinYan's possible retaliation, after all that little brother of his is still a child no matter how exceptionally talented a musician he may be.

As a matter of fact, Lin Feng simply prefers that nothing gets in the way of his pursuits. At this moment, he is focused on the especially attractive youth with peach blossom eyes and a lovely singsong voice. Just a little while longer and the game of cat and mouse can officially begin

Lin Feng sat in his private office on the 20th floor of XIIN Entertainment, his lips curving into a half smile as he imagined Su Ning reactions for what's to come.

At M Academy, the students were all preparing for their final exams as well as the upcoming graduation. Su Ning had been busily enjoying her school life with her friends that she nearly forgot about Lin JinYan's impending departure. It was actually Qing Mei that reminded her of the fact when the girl had come up to Su Ning during recess to ask if Lin JinYan had any preferences for a graduation present.

"NingNing-ah, you and the school prince are close. Can you tell me what Lin JinYan likes?" Qing Mei asked coquettishly. Seeing Qing Mei who was in the ordinary class purposefully approach Su Ning in the special class for information on Lin JinYan, Zhang Wei and Wang Lei exchanged surreptitious glances and snickered to themselves. Qing Mei ignored the boys and pretended to be unfazed at being laughed at. 'When I become Lin JinYan's girlfriend, let's see who will be laughing then. I'll make sure your families won't be able to do business with any XIIN Entertainment companies,' Qing Mei thought with gritted teeth.

Unaware of the commotion around her, Su Ning thought hard about Qing Mei's question. 'Hmm. What does Lin JinYan like? He seems to be okay with everything so it's a bit hard. But for sure it has to be something easy to sanitize.'

"MeiMei, I can't think of anything off the top of my head. Let me ask JinYan-ge when I see him later alright?" Su Ning asked with a smile. 'Qing Mei really wants to become close with Lin JinYan and it would be nice if he can make more friends. I should help them.'

Yet, upon hearing Su Ning's response a look of resentment quickly flashed on Qing Mei's sharp face. 'You selfish b*tch! You're obviously trying to keep Lin JinYan for yourself!' she thought with malice.

However, as quickly as it came so it went and no one in the special class noticed anything out of the ordinary about the girl from the regular class. "Alright, sounds good! I'll head back to class now," Qing Mei called out with a cheery smile on her face.

"Mmm. Bye bye," Su Ning responded with a pretty smile of her own.

Once Qing Mei was out of ear shot, Xiao Wei went over to Su Ning and cheekily joked, "NingNing is so nice! You're even helping your rival."

"What rival?! You da sha bi!" Su Ning said laughingly.

"Waaah, NingNing did you learn that from Xiao Lei?! You are so mean to me!" Xiao Wei cried out in mock offense. He called out to their class representative friend, Song Yu, who had just walked in after speaking to the teacher.

"YuYuuuuu! NingNing has changed! She doesn't love me anymore!"

However, Song Yu simply rolled his eyes and began to distribute the homework booklets to the students in the class. Just like this, they went through class as usual in an upbeat mood.

When Su Ning got back to her apartment, she quickly went to Lin JinYan's room and plopped herself on his bed. Lin JinYan sat in front of his Yanaha CP1 digital piano composing music. Still thinking of Qing Mei's request, Su Ning patiently waited for Lin JinYan to finish.

By the time Lin JinYan had taken off his noise cancelling headphones, Su Ning had already fallen asleep on his bed. Lin JinYan gingerly sat beside the sleeping girl and slowly began to trace his fingers on her beautiful face. His touch was light like butterfly kisses which slowly caused Su Ning to gently wake up from her nap.

"Welcome home, NingNing. Sleepy?" Lin JinYan asked affectionately.

Su Ning nodded and looked up to Lin JinYan's face with sleepy eyes. Then remembering what she came for, Su Ning smiled and softly asked,

"JinYan-ge, what do you like?"
