An Ning glared at Yu Jingchen, does he really have to be this sneaky?
The child is still here.
He curled his lips into a soft smile, sly as a fox, and whispered in her ear, "Do you want to go back to the room now, or continue here, you choose?"
An Ning's cheeks flushed with shyness as she quietly said, "But shouldn't the child be asleep first?"
Yu Jingchen glanced at the little rascal with eyes bright as lightbulbs, and commanded in a not so happy tone, "Then you'd better hurry up and coax him to sleep."
"I got it," An Ning said through gritted teeth.
Yu Ziqian looked at his dad, then at his stepmom. "What are you guys talking about?"
Yu Jingchen rolled over to lie down next to An Ning, acting like nothing was wrong, leaving the tricky question to her.
An Ning stammered, "Nothing, nothing."
"Talking about nothing for so long," Yu Ziqian clearly didn't believe them.
He really disliked that they had secrets he wasn't privy to.
