I had hoped that they would have denied it. That they would say that Catalina was only spouting lies. But it was true. I've been living a lie my whole life.

"To keep you safe." My mom said. I could only laugh bitterly. I remembered being both amazed and angry that Shawn hadn't told me that I was his mate. That he wasn't human.
