Josue Morales' POV
[You have been selected by ### to be reincarnated into a random universe with a random advantage]
[If you wish to refuse, know that ###, will not grant you a new life and you will be left to the eternal cycle of reincarnation]
"What the hell is this?"
I couldn't stop my honest thoughts from escaping my lips.
"And why am I still conscious? And where am I?"
I said, trying to get up but failing miserably.
[Alert, alert, alert]
[It is detected that Mr. Josue Morales is confused and trying to reject the situation]
[Initiating information transfer process and situation clarification]
'What the fuck is happening?'
There was a flood of information penetrating my head, including elements like who ### was and why I was in the darkness in front of a holographic panel straight out of a science fiction movie.
[Transfer completion successful]
"I understand better now, and shit"
I could only say that since I knew how deep in the shit I was up to my neck according to my knowledge drawn from various light novels and fanfics.
...
To summarize, after my "death" at the hands of the men working for Isabelle's father, I was selected by a being named ### in order to distract and calm his boredom.
I could only frown as I faced this cruel truth before me, but I can only grit my teeth and continue moving forward.
Josue Morales is dead at the hands of those scumbags, I must now turn the page and try to obtain something good.
[Mr. Josue, please confirm acceptance of the agreement proposed by ###]
"Yes, I accept," I simply said.
I did not want to fall into the cycle of reincarnation, I don't know if ### lied but I don't want to play with my very existence.
[Acceptance of Josue Morales confirmed]
[Initiating universe search...]
[Universe selected: PTJ VERSE +]
"Can you explain to me what that '+' is?" I asked, slightly nervous.
I know the PTJ verse, I've read a ton of webtoons linked to this extremely interesting universe but the "+" next to it worries me a bit.
[The "+" marks the existence of other universes of a similar nature that are linked]
"So I could come across other fictional universe characters possessing similar world laws?" I asked for confirmation.
[Exactly, it is possible for example that you meet a character like Joonwoo from the manhwa "The Girl from Random Chatting!" even though he's not supposed to exist in the PTJ verse]
"I understand, I want to obtain my advantages now," I declared, crossing my fingers.
I can say that 80% of my future depends on this and I really hope to get something good.
[Initiating advantage acquisition...]
[You have obtained the heritage of Kang Suho]
[The heritage of Kang Suho:
Rank C Item: You have inherited the talent, knowledge and potential of Kang Suho from the manhwa Hanlim Gym.
Small Note: Your potential will not be the same as Kang Suho's but will be added to his ]
"I haven't finished the Hanlim Gym manhwa, but I know what Suho Kang is capable of," I said, remembering his exploits.
Suho Kang is a combat genius, capable of using "origin" but he can also copy his opponents' techniques.
I remember he knew a ton of techniques in the manhwa, but he was used to not using them.
He preferred to beat his opponent in his own domain using his own techniques.
[Initiating bonus advantage acquisition for being the first selected...]
"What! I get a bonus?"
I was pleasantly surprised, I'm sure Suho Kang won't be enough if I don't want to die in the PTJ verse.
[You have obtained the Eyes of Misfortune]
[Eyes of Misfortune:
Rank A Item: This is a power from the Terror Man manhwa.
It allows the user to foresee the worst possible outcome based on their decision. The worst decision will be displayed with a violet fog enveloping it.
The user will only have to avoid it or resolve it, to make the fog disappear over that decision. Moreover, this ability will automatically activate if the future decision is deadly or if there is great misfortune.]
"Yes, yes, yes!" I shouted with joy.
With this, it's almost impossible to end up as pitifully as my last life.
I just need to be strong enough to better utilize my future eyes. I remember Jungwoo Mim, the protagonist of Terror Man, could use his power to see blows coming even before they were thrown by his opponent but unfortunately, he couldn't properly dodge them at the start of the manhwa due to his weak body.
[Initiating reincarnation procedure...]
"Wait, I don't want to be a baby..."
I couldn't help but shout my words at the last second but the holographic panel simply ignored me.
...
author's POV:
"I would have never believed that Tom Lee could have a child," declared Gapryong Kim as he walked down the hospital hallway.
"I think so too. I just hope it doesn't soften him up," replied Baekho Kwon, slightly lagging behind.
He had just learned that Tom Lee had a son. It was an unexpected news given his unique personality.
"I was informed that the mother didn't survive the baby's delivery," stated Gapryong as he took out a cigarette to light it.
"Sir, we're in a hospital," said Baekho Kwon in a low voice.
"Darn, I forgot," he said as he crushed the cigarette, frowning.
"I just hope that by the time we arrive, he will have already regained his senses," thought Gapryong.
The duo finally reached Tom Lee's location, and seeing his facial expression, he seemed lost in his thoughts.
"So, how are you experiencing to be a father?" declared Gapryong once by his side.
"It's weird. I have so many thoughts and emotions going through my head right now that I don't know how to handle it," replied Tom Lee as he observed the child in the incubator.
"Indeed, it's a strange sensation," said Gapryong, remembering his son, Gitae Kim, who must be two years old now.
"So, are you going to raise him alone?" asked Baekho Kwon directly without beating around the bush.
That was what worried him the most currently. He knew that Tom Lee wouldn't be able to raise a child alone, and it seemed that he thought the same judging by the expression on his face at his question.
"I've thought about it, I'm going to send him to an orphanage," replied Tom Lee without taking his eyes off the child who seemed to be watching him.
"Are you sure about this decision?" asked Gapryong as he observed him.
As someone who was currently in a long-distance relationship with his son, he knew better than Tom Lee the pain of watching his son grow up from afar.
"I don't think I can pretend to be a good father, I prefer that he finds others," declared Tom Lee in response.
There was a moment of silence around the three individuals before Gapryong patted Tom Lee's shoulder in a friendly manner and walked towards the exit.
"Oh, before I leave, you didn't tell me your son's name," he said, glancing over his shoulder.
"I decided to call him Suho Kang. I don't know why, but I find it sounds good, and I don't want him to have a last name similar to mine," replied Tom Lee with a slight smile that resembled his usual one.
It seemed that Tom Lee himself appreciated the name.
Author's Note: Finally I get around to writing this fanfic, I just hope I don't abandon it because of the HXH fanfic and my schedule.
