***JAKE'S POV***

I felt like I was sliding into this new life differently this time. I was moving like I hadn't done before, and I definitely didn't fall into the person's body this time. It was a smooth and gentle transfer. That was good. I was tired of falling blindly into the lives of these other people.

My eyes had been closed though, and I could feel something that was familiar to me. Flesh was pressed against the palms of my hands. A strip of lacy fabric interrupting that flesh as I moved my hands along a long smooth surface. And on top of that, there was the scent of a woman.

I could feel her in my arms. And I knew exactly who it was. This body was already instantly recognizable to me. This was Alex.
