***JAKE'S POV***

"Look, there is the clearing." Alex whispered in a voice that was barely there as she pointed ahead of us. "That is where we will find the house."

"I guess this looks familiar to you?" I was referring to the dream that she had, and the look in her eyes confirmed that.

"Yeah. Those trees on the edge look slightly different when compared to the others. I didn't realize it until I saw them again, but they look like they're dead, but I think it's just the smoke that is changing them."

"Yeah, they look odd. Like the branches are all gnarled and twisted. They definitely look like something that belongs near a witch's house." I worked hard to keep my voice low, keeping all emotion from my voice while I was at it.

"Let's stop just inside the line of trees. We will use them as cover as we scope out the house." Alex started moving a little quicker, but just as stealthy as before.
