Chapitre 47: Alina's Trust

***ALEX'S POV***

OK, I needed to figure things out here. I needed to know how I was going to find the male lead in this story. If I was a princess to begin with, was he still going to be a prince? I couldn't really remember how that part of Sleeping Beauty went. I just knew that there were several versions of it.

There was the more kid friendly one where the girl slept until she was awoken by the prince's kiss, or was he a knight? There was also the one where the king came along and raped the sleeping woman and had twins with her. And I think there was another version, but I don't remember it. I just learned about it this semester in class, but at the moment I just couldn't think about the various versions of the story.

I will tell you this, these fairytales actually have a darker edge to them than people think. At least the original versions were like that anyway. Most people, though, they just think about the frilly happy versions that are promoted today.
