I was already overwhelmed by what I learned about gaming, yet Lilly continued to explain. People often wondered why evil and malevolence never left the world. They believed it was because man was inherently evil. Was this woman telling me that it was not the case? 

"People measure reapers in general by only one thing, John: their — {Fates}. {Fates} determine who is powerful and who is trash. Given that they are based on a person's biggest regret, what do you think are the best situations to cultivate them?" 

That would be negative experiences. I knew the answer, but it got stuck in my throat. Was she saying that Reapers made the world worse to create stronger {Fates}?
