Roran found himself suddenly standing in a forest. A surge of information swept across him, informing him about everything he's seen. An entity called the Keeper had summoned him to complete contracts and to keep a dungeon. The information that he was shown were his stats. Roran was now in a Beginner's Dungeon, and if he survived, he is fit to start his own journey.
Roran looked around. It seemed very peaceful, but his instincts tell him that danger was lurking in every corner. First Roran looked at his sword. It didn't have a single scratch on it. Then he looked to Sylvian, who didn't look surprised, presumably having been already completely informed by the Keeper.
A twig snapped right in front of him. Roran discovered a huge monster in front of him. It was huge, its height reaching three meters and challenging the fourth. It was somewhat humanoid, standing on two feet, but the arms were perfectly suitable for running. Claws, ten centimeters, replaced fingers and toes, with fire emerging from them. The face was unrecognizable, the body scaly, and tentacles reached out from its chest. Dark energy floated all over it, killing all the plants that it touched.
Suddenly a small screen popped up in front of Roran.

It seemed like the Keeper could also show stats for other creatures. Roran was surprised at first, but then he laughed uncontrollably. Firstly, it was a demon, which meant that Roran will deal double damage. And then it is Fire and Dark elemental, which meant that Roran will always deal the maximum damage value, 130, and then also a triple attack damage. This was equals to 130 x 2 x 3 = 780. The demon's health value is only a measly 560. This meant that it would be one-shot.
However, this doesn't mean Roran should underestimate it. The demon's strength was superior by 9 points, which is more than double of Roran's.
Roran manipulated the earth nearby to create earth walls, to limit the space. This will make it easier for a one-hit kill. However, this also gives Roran a small disadvantage, because he has less room to dodge the demon's attacks.
The demon had charged first. It sprinted towards Roran, enthusiastic to kill its prey. Roran lifted Demon Slayer and then started sprinting too. When they were only a meter apart, Roran summoned light, and activated his skill, Light Burst. Light and Dark were opposite elements, and thus the demon took damage. It screeched. The light was causing it excruciating pain. Roran, taking this opportunity, swung Demon Slayer and finished the job. The demon disintegrated.

Roran nodded curtly. Every time he kills a monster in a dungeon, he has a chance of capturing it, depending on the difference in their Spirit & Soul stat. However, it seems like in the Beginner's Dungeon, the chances reach 100%.
Roran was quite animated.
Suddenly stones flew from Roran's right, flying at extreme speeds. There were around ten, each carefully aimed at Roran.
Roran didn't have much time to act. He instantly summoned his shield, and it appeared just in time. Heavy grinding was heard, but the Mana-infused Steel was clearly superior. The stones clattered to the ground, completely stopped.
An intimidating sight revealed itself from the forest. A gargantuan spider crawled out, but instead of eight legs, it had more than a hundred. Each of them was furry and pointed. Dark energy enveloped the spider too, just like the Lower Demon.

Roran looked grim. This enemy wasn't that easy to fight. It was basically a tank, with its 2500 hp, and it also has 20 strength. The only superior stat Roran had was his agility. He can use this to his advantage.
A plan formulated in Roran's mind. He instantly acted, as to not give the Mutant Spider the initiative. Roran ran towards the spider, to gain its attention, while he ordered Sylvian to prepare to spew fire.
The Mutant Spider was surprised. Never had prey ran up willingly to be eaten. It screeched, and then moved its legs, starting to move forwards. And then it fell.
Roran was stupefied. This Mutant Spider is a huge joke. It literally tripped on its own legs. The one point of agility was clearly displayed. He instantly ordered Sylvian to light the Mutant Spider on fire.
And then Roran sprinted, circling around the spider in an instant. This was a blind spot, and the spider's only weakness. It was simple, really. Every time the spider tries to turn, Roran would just stick to its back. Because there was such a large gap between their agility stat, even though Roran must move a larger distance, he was still much faster.
Roran slashed 5 times on its legs.
