Chapitre 37: Chapter 35
It's been a week since the New Year Festival and Yoshi didn't feel any better. He was sleep deprived and barely eaten for a week, not like these things never happened to him before. Only this time, Yoshi was feeling a bit paranoid because of the notebook he got from Shikaku, well the contents of the book were the actual problem. This one week felt like a ticking time bomb, waiting for anyone to ambush him in the corner or in his house in the dark. Though it might looked weird to others, but for Yoshi, whoever wrote the information in the book, knew of his real identity. It seemed like his waiting was in vain because nothing ever came, no one did. But still, the question still there, who was the person that got hold of the information.
Yoshi sat on his bed as he ruffled his hair, made it messy. He was feeling overwhelmingly stress right now due to the problem. Today was the start of the academy, but Yoshi was too nervous and paranoid to go out. He looked at the alarm clock on his bedside as the hour needle pointed to number 7, one hour before classes started. Yoshi got off his bed and went to the bathroom to wash his face to clear his mind. He doesn't feel like washing up with cold water, but he had to or he would be going to school with a bad smell. He washed his face coupled times, felt the cold water on his face as he closed his eyes.
It was just today when he realized he had not taking any medicine since coming to this world. In his previous life, he had some medicine that helped him with his conditions such as scizophrenia. But now, Yoshi doesn't even know if there were even medicines for his conditions in this kind of time. He sighed as he ruffled his hair, a habit that he adapted when he was stress or in distress. He looked at himself in the mirror and slowly traced his fingers on the scars on his neck. Suddenly, a wave of memories hit him as he groaned and shut his eyes, hitting his head to get rid of the memories.
"I really need to find an alternative to my conditions." Yoshi mumbled to himself as he walked away from the sink and decided to wash up.
Several minutes later, he walked out of the bathroom and went straight to wear his clothes, the usual outfit he wore with bandages wrapped around his neck and arms to hide the scars.
"I really have no mood to do anything right now. Sigh~"
After a long contemplation, Yoshi finally started moving his legs to the door after grabbing his bag. He yawned as he opened the door of his house.
"Alright,Yoshi. It's just another day. Get your act together." he said to himself before walking out and towards the Academy.
Few minutes of walking later, Yoshi arrived at the Academy. Maybe because he was early, but the atmosphere around here was dark, or maybe that was his imagination. Either way, he continued walking towards his classroom where he saw Shikamaru, Choji, Sasuke and few others students were already in class. Same as the outside, the atmosphere in the class was no different as it was very quiet, except for the sound of Choji's munching on his chips.
As usual, no one greeted him as he walked to his seat at the far corner in the back, beside the window. He sat quietly for awhile before looked up at the clock at the front of the classroom which pointed to 7:30 in the morning. While waiting for everyone to arrive and the class to start, Yoshi started to write something random in his book.
'Time. A concept of time is simple and complicated at the same time. Every person in the world has 24 hours in their person. Time is money. What if time is really like money? Every time you did something, you're time gets deducted automatically untill it reached 00:00, and will be reset to the original amount 60 seconds after that. Time is weird.'
"Time.... remind me of something..."
"Yoshi!"
"Argh!!"
Yoshi fell backwards out of his seat in shock at the sudden yell of his name. He looked up and saw Naruto with his bright smile in front of his desk, peering down at him.
"Naruto. What is it?" Yoshi asked as he stood up and rubbing his aching back.
"Yoshi. You know, I noticed you are quiet down lately, so i have something in mind that I want to do with you." Naruto said with a big smile and mischievous eyes.
Yoshi looked at Naruto, a bit unsure of his words.
"Right, and what is it?" Yoshi asked carefully.
"Hehe. Yoshi, let's skip school together today." Naruto said in a whisper as he leaned forward.
Yoshi sighed at the idea as he expected this to happen. Yoshi stayed quiet for a second as he looked at the boring and quiet classroom, except of the low sound of talking.
"Oh, come on Yoshi. You never skip class before. I did plenty of times with Shikamaru and Chōji. We'll be okay." Naruto said with a thumbs up.
'I'm not worried of being caught. I'm actually a bit scared to go out of the safety ground. For some reason, I could feel eyes on me.' Yoshi said in his mind as he looked outside the window to the sunny day.
Naruto was still waiting for Yoshi to answer him while nervously looking at the clock occasionally. There was 10 minutes before the class started.
"Sigh~ fine. I'll go with you."
'Losing one day of school will not affect my grades this year anyway.'
"Yes!" Naruto said with happiness as he hurriedly grabbed Yoshi's hand and started running off of the classroom without Yoshi being able to grab his bag first.
"Wait, Naruto. Slow down."
"We can't. The class is about to start. Iruka-sensei will come soon. You don't want to get caught, don't you?" Naruto said with a cheeky smile as they ran down the hallway.
Fortunately, they didn't encounter any teacher and successfully arrived outside the school grounds. They rested themselves under a tree as they were trying to catch a breath. Naruto was the first to recover as he waste not time and conveyed his plan to Yoshi.
"Yoshi. This is what we're going to do. We're going to paint the Hokage's Stone!" Naruto announced proudly while giggling.
Yoshi doesn't have much reaction to that as he just stared at Naruto. Even so, deep down in his heart, he was still worried of being out in the open. The order for the Anbu's to watch over him has been lifted, so if anything happen, or if someone attack him again, there would be low chance of anyone coming to rescue him this time. He just hoped that it doesn't happened in daylight.
"Come on, Yoshi!" Naruto said as he pushed Yoshi to start walking.
After sometime, they arrived at Naruto's place and Naruto immediately went in.
'As expected, the door is not locked.'
"You know Naruto, it's better if you lock your door before you leave." Yoshi said blandly as he walked inside and waited at the living room while Naruto went into his bedroom.
"Why? It's not like anyone want to rob me or something. I don't have anything in value." Naruto said loudly from his bedroom with a shrug. Pretty nonchalant about it.
'Right, he didn't know about the Kyuubi. Well, whatever happened to him will not be a problem to me, anyway. I just need him now. After I leave this place, I will forget about him.' Yoshi monologued to himself as he looked at the frame photo of Naruto and the Third Hokage.
For some reason, when Yoshi looked at the photo, a dreadful feeling started to build up in his heart. As if, something sinister was about to come out from his chest. The thing...it was like a dark side of him that he wanted to forget but couldn't.
Yoshi glared at the photo with uncertain feelings.
'I don't know why...but I hate this.'
"Yoshi. I got the paints. Let's go!" Naruto said as he came out running ot of his bedroom with two buckets of red and white paints.
His voice woke Yoshi out of his stupor as he breathed out to calm himself.
"Sure." Yoshi answered shortly as he followed Naruto out the house.

Evening fast approaching as the school finally ended.
"Hokage-sama! Naruto-"
"Naruto did it again, didn't he?" Hiruzen said it first before the Jonin and ended it with a sigh.
"Yes, sir. What should we do?"
"Do it like we always do. Catch him and bring him to Iruka." Hiruzen said with a tired sigh but his tone of voice was filled with amusement.
"So, should we do the same to Yoshi, Hokage-sama?"
"Yoshi? He was there too? Hmm. Yes, just send them to Iruka." Hiruzen said with a small smile on his face as he turned around on his chair and looking out the window.
After that, the Jonin did as what Hiruzen instructed but as always, it was not easy to catch Naruto since he was quick at making getaway and also knew how to hide himself. But now, they had another one they have to catch, Yoshi. Like Naruto, Yoshi was fast too, but be reminded that he was not scared of getting scolded by Iruka whatsoever, he just followed whatever Naruto was doing for the fun of it.
It took about an hour for the two Jonin to catch Naruto and Yoshi. They sighed as two of them held Yoshi and Naruto tightly by the scuff of their collar as they dragged them back to the academy. While Naruto was struggling and ranting angrily in a Jonin's hand because he got caught, in the other hand, Yoshi was calm and still as a log as the Jonin just dragged him easily forward.
"Naruto! You did it aga- Yoshi?" Iruka said when he saw them being dragged into the academy. He was actually surprised to see Yoshi with Naruto since he never thought Yoshi to be a problematic student, too.
Yoshi didn't respond to his name as he glanced at Iruka blankly before looking at Naruto.
"Naruto. What do you want to do?"
"Huh? What are you talking about?"
"Do you want to run?"
Naruto was slightly shock to hear that from Yoshi but later it turned to a big grin.
"Hey! You do realized that I'm still here, right?!" Iruka said angrily as he listened to us planning our escape.
Yoshi ignored Iruka outrage and instead, grabbing Naruto's arm and started running back to the academy's gates. Iruka seeing this, was shocked and more angry as he yelled for them to come back but for some reason he didn't bother to go after them.
"Sigh, kids these days." Iruka said with a sigh, but even so, he had a small smile on his face as they saw Yoshi and Naruto getting farther away from his view.

"Yoshi. I wonder, why did you think of running back then?"
They were both eating ice cream, courtesy of Yoshi treating them both, at the park. Yoshi looked at Naruto with a disappointed face.
"What's with that face?! I'm just asking."
"You never thought of running away from Iruka sensei before?"
"No. I mean, a ninja never runs away from their own battle, right? Facing Iruka sensei's rage is my battle." Naruto said with a proud face.
Yoshi looked down to the ground as he listened to Naruto's words. A ninja never run from their battle. It was easy to understand, but hard to put into action.
'What a load of bullshit.' Yoshi thought disdainfully and a bit angry at the words. All this time, Yoshi has been running away from his problems, just because he had no power to solve it. And now, he was planning to run again in two years. That's why he felt a bit insulted by Naruto's words.
"It's getting dark. Let's go back home." Yoshi said as he rose up from the bench.
"Oh yeah, you're right."
They both walked home together before parting ways at a junction, walking back to each of their house.
