Chapitre 18: Chapter 18
Two days later
It's been three days since Yoshi woke up and now he was sitting on his hospital bed while reading a comic that Naruto brought for him. Strangely though, today Naruto didn't come to visit him, but Yoshi just let the thoughts away. His conclusion was, if Naruto didn't come visit him in the morning, that means the academy has already started. But he's wrong.
Suddenly, he heard a door sliding open and heard Naruto voice, seemed like he was talking to someone.
'Judging by the multiple footsteps, must be more than one except Naruto.'
Yoshi got back to his comic while waited for the people in question to reached his bed. How did he knew that they walking towards his bed? It's because he heard Naruto voice and not to mention that he was the only patient in the ward.
After sometime, they finally arrived and stood not far away from Yoshi's bed. Yoshi didn't put the comic away instead he pretended to not notice them and waited. He just turned his attention from the comic when he heard Naruto called his name. He then looked up and saw three adult stood at the end of his bed. Two at the left and the other one at the right side. He recognised them clearly, they're was Hiruzen, Ibiki and Shikaku. He never met Shikaku before but that doesn't matter.
"Hey, Yoshi! How're you feeling today? I'm sorry I was late. I met Gramps on my way here. Surprisingly, he also want to visit you, so I lead him the way. And now we're here." Naruto smiled widely as he explained everything.
"It's okay Naruto. I don't mind about it. And I'm feeling great like always." Yoshi said while smiled back at Naruto.
Then suddenly Hiruzen interrupted our conversation.
"Ahem! I'm sorry to interrupt you two, but Naruto, I'm afraid I have to ask you to wait outside for awhile. You see, I have something to talk about with Yoshi." Hiruzen said.
Naruto looked at Hiruzen then backed at me. His face was a little bit sad but he just nodded his head slowly and leave the room. After he left, the room fell into a long silence until Yoshi spoke up.
"So, may I know what does the Hokage want to talk about with me?" Yoshi asked while looked at Hiruzen.
Hiruzen didn't answer the question instead he looked at Shikaku and slightly nodded his head. Shikaku who stood behind Ibiki then walked closer towards Yoshi and stood beside the bed. He then started speaking.
"Ahem. I will explain to you our purpose here. You may heard this from Naruto but I will said it again. You have been unconscious for three months. But that doesn't matter, what matters right now is the day before you fell into coma or in other word, the day the incident happened." Shikaku explained and stared at Ibiki for awhile before continue explaining again while letting out a sigh.
"We have investigated the crime scene on the same day the incident happened. And we found a kitchen knife full of blood and sent it for DNA test. The result said, there was fingerprints on the knife handle and it was supposed to be yours. So, we concluded that you are trying to do something that an 8 y/o kid doesn't normally do. So here we are to-"
Before he could finish explaining, Yoshi then interrupted.
"To get me to confirm it?" Yoshi said felt uninterested with all the explanation.
Shikaku nodded and turned his head to Ibiki. Ibiki understood what's that mean and slowly walking from his place towards Shikaku and now the interrogator have swapped to Ibiki. Ibiki then spoke.
"So, is it true?"
'Wow. My man just went straight to the point. Then, I will give you a straight to the point answer too.' "Yes, it's true." Yoshi reply.
"Why did you do that?"
"Why? You worried? Well, it's hard to tell you the reason why and I didn't have any intention to tell you at the first place either." Yoshi said while looked away from Ibiki, back to his comic on his hands.
Ibiki frowned at Yoshi's answer and looked at Hiruzen. He knew it's not easy to get the information out of this kid, so there's no need to push him further and asked the same questions. Even thought he himself was curious too. Hiruzen nodded as if understood the meaning behind the action and walked slowly towards Yoshi. Tried to get a better look at Yoshi.
"Yoshi. I don't care what you want to do. You have right to do anything you want but please refrain from doing something that will bring you harm. You live here in Konoha village so you are my responsibility. You will be on your own when you become a ninja, so until the time comes, please don't do anything dangerous." Hiruzen said with a stern voice yet softly.
Yoshi was taken aback a little with what he just heard. No one in his life ever felt so concerned about him. He doesn't said anything nor did he nodded. Just stared at the comic he was currently pretended to read. Seeing this, Hiruzen just sighed and started to speak again.
"Anyway, there's another thing that I want to tell you. It's early in January, so you'll be attending academy with others your age. I won't put you on the first years since it's seems kinda late for that. So, you'll be on the same year and class with Naruto. He can help you at the academy if you has trouble involving it. I have arranged everything for you including your registration, all you need to do is prepare yourself before the academy starts. There's one week left and I hope to see you at the academy in one piece. When will you be discharge?" Hiruzen asked, ended his long explanation.
"The doctor said I can get out this Saturday." Yoshi said with monotonous voice without leaving his eyes from the comic.
Hiruzen nodded and left the room with the others without saying any word. Once they left, Yoshi let out a big sigh. He could feel his chest tighten. The pressure from the three individual earlier gave him a hard time, especially the Hokage. He lied down on his bed while tried to close his eyes. Naruto who just got driven away earlier came in to the room again. He wanted to talk about so many things with Yoshi, but changed his mind after he saw Yoshi lying on a bed with closed eyes. He felt disappointed at this. Sure, he could just wake Yoshi up, but he doesn't want to interrupt his friend resting especially when he's in process of recovering. So with a heavy heart, he walked back to the door and left the room.

KAKASHI'S POV
I was walking back from the Hokage tower after he asked for me. I thought he wanted to give me another mission, but instead he told me about the things regarding that Yoshi kid. Talking about Yoshi, I still remember the first time I met him in the forest. He was so disheveled back then and of course weird...until now. Back at the interrogation time, I noticed he hide so many things from us. Not to mention some of his answers that I don't understand and his behavior when got interrogated too doesn't look like a normal child would react. He was smiling throughout the interrogation like it was normal things.
Sigh. I don't think I'll be able to understand that kid at all. Anyway, the Hokage let him lived in the village and I'm the one whose help him with groceries and sent him home. I also checked on him later that night, he was fine. But now I wonder where things went wrong. The next morning, I heard a shocking news from other people gossiping, saying that Yoshi was being found lying on his kitchen floor with a knife stabbed into his stomach. I went to his house and found nothing. What I mean by nothing, means nothing. No traces of someone broken in or any footprints. From that time I started to made my own guesses. I've made so many guesses, but there's one guesses of mine that I felt was the truth. I just felt like it was, not that it was really the truth.
But little did I know that my guessing was actually the truth. The Hokage told me everything today. He said, Yoshi who was been in coma for three months has woke up and he told me about the things that they talked about at the hospital.
"So he did trying to kill himself." I mumbled to myself while looking at the moon. Yep, it was already night.
As I was getting tired, I wanted to go back to my house but before that, I wanted to visit Yoshi for awhile. I paid him a visit just one time when he's in coma before so, it's been a long time.
I arrived at the hospital but I didn't went through the main entrance, instead I walked on the hospital wall to the window where Yoshi's ward are. Once I arrived at the certain window, I jumped in. Glad the nurse didn't closed it though.
I saw a kid sleeping on a bed and I knew it was Yoshi. I noticed that the kid has sweat all over his face and seemed like he's frowned over something.
'Hm? Did he have a nightmare or something?'
That's the best conclusion I could think of. He was obviously having a nightmare. I walked closer to him, hand out my hand, tried to wake him up. After I shook his body a few times, he doesn't wake up but I saw his face has started changed to a more relax expression. I let out a sigh of relief and went to the window. I gave a last glance to Yoshi and then jumped out.
'There's no need to rush, he'll be staying at Konoha for a long time. I have many opportunities in the future to find out more about him.' I thought while walking back to my house.
