The gloomy day befit the scene. It was a funeral, a quiet one at that. Everyone stood there resolute as the casket was lowered into the ground.
For some, her death was fortunate. To others, her death had been the only form of release from her. This was especially true for Lucas Decker, CEO of the Decker Group. She had been nothing but a nuisance to him and her death brought the release he wanted. He felt no remorse, after all she was nothing but his fake fiancée.
He was neither sad nor happy just nonchalant about her death. Besides, she was always a 'placeholder' for his real fiancée. She only served to keep other women at bay, so that he could await peacefully for his real girl.
Right now, he felt a sense of satisfaction now that she was gone. No, he was elated.
