Chapitre 13: Trouble in paradise
Kaida's sword clanged against her opponent's, the sound echoing through the training grounds. She panted, sweat trickling down her forehead. She couldn't figure out how her power worked, no matter how much she concentrated. She was getting frustrated.
"Hey there, princess," Freya said, walking towards her.
"I hate it when you call me that," Kaida replied, trying to catch her breath.
"You're still trying to figure out how you made that work," Freya said. "Stop trying so hard. You'll eventually figure it out."
Kaida nodded, taking a deep breath. She needed to relax and let her powers come naturally.
Suddenly, they heard someone yelling. Kaida dropped her sword and ran towards the sound. She found Harper holding a young guy.
"What's going on?" she asked.
"It's about the food," Harper replied.
"You know you should have stayed in Skywatchers," the young man said. "We were being fed well."
Freya walked towards him, her anger palpable. She lifted him up and slammed him to the ground.
"She risked everything to bring you all here, and this is how you repay her?" Freya said. "You came here by choice. No one forced you to be here."
Kaida felt a surge of emotion. She had risked everything to protect her people, and this was how they treated her? She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down.
"Everyone, listen up!" Kaida said, her voice firm. "I know things are tough right now, but we need to stick together. We're all in this together. Let's work together to make things better."
The crowd murmured in agreement. Kaida felt a sense of relief. She knew it wasn't going to be easy, but she was determined to protect her people no matter what.
