"In the name of the moon goddess!" the old man shouted as he pressed the rod onto Micah's right shoulder.

Hazel gasped, she covered her mouth with her hands, while her eyes opened wide when she watched the cruel sight before her. She didn't know what she was going to do, but she wanted to stop the old man from doing that.

The old man was now lifting the rod before swiftly twisting it around and pressing it again on Micah's left shoulder.

"Micah Donovan!" The old man shouted loudly and the people inside the room repeated everything he said, causing this silent room to boom with their collective voice.

Hazel couldn't see this, she didn't have the heart to watch this kind of scene before her eyes. She was about to step forward when Dalia held her elbow and kept her in place. She was glaring at her when she talked.

"Where do you think you are going?" Dalia tightened her grip on her elbow.
