However, it had been years since the last priestess stepped a foot in this land.

"Why?" Hazel turned around and looked at Keira.

"Because the king refused to kneel before her." Keira was a little bit hesitant when she had to let her know about this, she was not sure if it was appropriate for her to talk about this.

"The king refused to kneel before her?" She repeated the words. "Micah? Why? Why does he need to kneel before her?"

Hazel couldn't imagine Micah bending his knees in front of someone, but why would he do that when he was the king?

"He is the king."

"Yes, but the new priestess demanded such respect."

"Did the previous king do that?" Was there such a tradition?
