Three weeks later…
Megan was about to chuck her coffee mug at the wall but then she thought of Mim having to clean the mess up and stopped her hand mid-motion. She was just so damn angry. What else was she supposed to think but that she had been abandoned. She hadn't heard a peep from Gabriel in nearly four weeks now.
Not a text, or a call, or a letter, or a bat signal, or a message from the heavens. Nothing, nada, zilch. It was as if he had blinked out of existence. If it wasn't for her magical prison and learning to talk to Mim, Megan would think she had concocted the entire situation in her mind.
Talking to Mim was a serious exaggeration. Plus, first depended on her knowing something about the subject she was asking about since Mim couldn't give her details. Then being able to ask a concise question in which a yes or no were the only outcomes.
