Chapitre 32: Unexpected Turn of Events

[Author Note]

Disc: HrPrTeam

Romance won't be a prevalent topic, so it won't get in the way of the story.

I know JJK isn't the verse for romance, but I'll make sure that it's done correctly.

However, I'm torn between people.

Yuki, Shoko, or Utahime. (Gojo still isn't on the list, you freaks.)

If you say harem, two, or all three, I'm going to lose my f*cking mind.

__________

Naohiro

Everyone except Shoko started sprinting out into the forest. She sat down near the entrance. It seems like she wasn't too into the fighting aspect of this event.

Unlike Geto or Gojo, who wanted to eliminate the competition no matter who it was, I would isolate myself from everyone else to fight Uraume.

The last thing I want is to drag people into a death match. I don't care what the event rules say; that isn't going to stop Uraume.

After splitting off from the group and making my way to an isolated area, I discharge a ton of cursed energy so I'll show up like a beacon.

Someone at a first-year level wouldn't be able to detect the energy, but someone like Uraume will have no trouble finding their way here.

I lean my back on a tree, waiting for the Heian sorcerer.

Nothing happens for two minutes, but then...

...

*FHEW*

An ice spear comes flying straight towards my face.

Smiling, I tilt my head to the side, and the spear travels through around twenty trees before stopping.

I let out a small laugh. "With how you aimed that, I could've sworn you meant to kill me! What was that about not having bad blood!?"

A person with white hair and a red streak, wearing a standard Jujutsu high school uniform, emerges from the clearing, their face solemn.

With the facade of Nishida gone, they reply with a frown. "You're my enemy; of course, I wouldn't hold back."

Walking closer to me, they put their hand on the ground.

Well, I guess I shouldn't mess around. Who knows what they will have in store for me if I keep them alive for too much longer?

Massive ice structures get shot towards me, and I bring my hands together. "It's time to end this thing. I'll need to end this fast."

With a shocked look, Uraume smacks their hands together. "[Hollow Wicker Basket]!"

Ah, the boomer's Simple Domain.

What I bet they were banking on is me not using my domain and letting down my guard because it is a first-year student...but I know who you really are!

Of course, I'm not surprised Kenjaku told them about my hand sign for my domain. "[Domain Expansion: Cycle of Saṃsāra]."

Both of us get encased in a black barrier that turns into an endless desert with a bright sun that immediately deletes the ice that Uraume previously made.

I tilt my head to the side with a smirk. "How strange, I've only ever shown two people my domain hand signs, and one of them is dead. What is even more interesting is that only a select few know I have a domain expansion at all! Now, how does a random first-year student know this much about me?"

Uraume narrows their eyes and has a scowl on their face. "You fucking worm."

Well then, now that I have all my adaptations and a small boost to my overall statistics, I'll kill them now. Hollow Wicker Basket is annoying, but if I damage them enough to release it, they're done.

It is one of the best anti-domains for nullifying a sure-hit, but the drawback is that your hands are occupied, so unless you are Heian form Sukuna, it won't be effective.

I run over to Uraume, but they use their feet to shoot a fairly large amount of ice at me. However, the thing about my domain is that while you can use anti-domain techniques to keep your own cursed energy, if it is released as an ice structure, for example, it gets deleted before it can do any meaningful damage.

Laughing, I punch straight through it as it slowly weakens, making its strong ice useless. "Can't form strong ice with your feet, huh!? Since you're here to kill me, I guess it's self-defense to do the same to you!"

Uraume backpedals, but I reach them and..."[Black Flash]."

Black sparks shoot out as my fist lands in Uraume's stomach.

*BAM*

They spit out a massive amount of blood before getting flung into my domain's barrier, which holds firm.

Wow, didn't know the Goodwill event would be this fun!

One might wonder how I can pull off a black flash like this.

I wasn't yapping just to monologue. While I have adapted to black flash, it is still really precise, and I need a minute to concentrate on consistently launching them.

As soon as I get in the zone, landing multiple black flashes is easy. Since I can recreate adaptations, making my cursed energy flow into that one-millionth-of-a-second hit takes a ton of focus.

I start laughing like a maniac. "And you thought you could kill me!? I wonder who sent you! I'm insulted that someone as weak as you was sent after me!"

I run over to them, preparing to launch another black flash to end the Sukuna sucker.

However...

*Crack*

*Crack*

*SHATTER*

My domain's barrier breaks.

A weak voice speaks below me. "[Icefall]."

...

*Splat*

...

Shit, this is gonna leave a mark.

I'm impaled with five ice spikes.

However, I hear the noise that has got me this far in this life.

'clink'

The ice immediately starts to melt, and I use the reverse cursed technique to heal the holes in my body quickly.

I need to finish Uraume now. I'll deal with the person who broke my barrier right after.

*Stab*

Huh?

Since when can I be hurt by slashes that aren't from Sukuna? Surely, someone on the other team doesn't have the destructive capacity to hurt me, right?

Obviously, I have adaptations that let me know if someone is sneaking up behind me. Even if someone like Toji were to try to sneak me, I would know.

However, my domain ended, and I experienced a short burnout, allowing for a five-second window to get close to me.

I glance down and see a sword through my neck. It's a fairly short sword with two ends.

Hah, I know that sword from anywhere.

...

...

The Inverted Spear of Heaven.

I smile.

This is the plot of a shitty shounen manga. Why can't everything be easy?

'clink'

I would steal Gojo's line, but I have a sword through my neck, so that's that.

It quickly gets removed, and one would usually activate adaptations and run away to avoid getting stabbed over and over again, but I'm built differently.

My neck immediately heals with reverse cursed technique, and I get another three slashes in the span of a second.

'clink'

I spin around and throw a black flash to the face of the homeless bum when his sword stabs me for a fourth time.

'clink'

You're done, Toji Zenin.

I adapt to the Inverted Spear, which allows me to turn on all of my adaptations from before. The next time he slashes at me, I catch the spear with my left hand.

My face has a giant smile as I throw my right hand into his face. "[Black Flash]."

He goes flying.

Quickly turning around, I notice Uraume is gone.

However...

This isn't a cliche: 'The enemy gets away situation.' After my training arc, my tracking skills are insanely powerful, so I can follow them no matter where they go as long as they stay in Japan.

Uraume will lead me straight to Kenjaku, and when they do, I'll kill them both before canon can screw this world up.

Turning back to Toji, I notice that he is gone as well. Even using my high-level detection, I can't find him near me.

Are you shitting me!? Since I hit him with a black flash, I can track him as well. The way he is going, it looks like he is going for Gojo.

I start running after Toji.

Sorry, Toji, I liked you in the story, but you need to die.
