Time seemed to slip away quickly as seven months swiftly passed.
Over the months, Yoriichi trained Inuchiyo, Goemon, and Yasuhiro, who had somehow recovered.
It was challenging to give Yasuhiro a purpose as the man had almost given up on living.
But with the help of Inuchiyo, Goemon, and the twins, he mustered up the will to live.
Ginryu wasn't particularly helpful in the situation as he didn't seem to care much about Yasuhiro.
Ginryu, of course, took some sneak peeks at their training to learn the Sun Breathing method and forms.
He was already stronger than Yoriichi, so it felt a bit embarrassing to ask Yoriichi to teach him.
He felt that asking gave the impression that he was some kind of power-hungry individual, which could damage his relationship with Yoriichi.
Yoriichi, on the other hand, didn't really mind. He had come to believe that Ginryu was not such a bad individual, at least to people he cared about.
Before training Inuchiyo, Goemon, and Yasuhiro, Yoriichi had come to learn about each of their stories and reasons for seeking strength.
He wasn't just going to teach them because Ginryu tricked him.
He needed to know what kind of individuals they were, or the power passed on might bring harm to others.
Their stories touched him deeply, especially Yasuhiro's story, as it resonated deeply with his own story.
Though the circumstances were different, there were still similar parts in Yasuhiro's story to his own.
The training was harsh and gruelling, but the twins, Inuchiyo, and Goemon picked up things quickly.
Sadly, Yasuhiro was just a normal man amongst monsters, so he quickly fell behind.
Inuchiyo and Goemon spent their time adapting the Sun Breathing forms to their own techniques.
And within five months, they were done with training.
The twins hit a wall in their training due to their young age, but Yoriichi reassured them that as they grew older, those walls would break.
Yasuhiro focused on the basics as it was hard to keep up.
It was already challenging enough to keep up with the monstrous training that a normal person could barely handle, much less him with one hand.
Ginryu managed to pick up the Sun Breathing techniques and began adapting them to his style of combat.
.....................…..
Winter soon came and quickly passed, welcoming the spring.
The air was getting warmer, and the greenery of the trees had begun to be noticeable.
Things were peaceful and calm for a while, but underneath all that, the flame of war had already begun to spread.
About a month ago, word came from the Oda clan.
Nobuhide, Oda Nobuna's father, had passed away.
Ginryu was invited to the funeral, which he attended along with Inuchiyo and Goemon.
Ginryu had instructed the girls to act as they normally would in the Oda clan.
He got to witness Oda Nobuna's madness firsthand during the burial ceremony.
Nobuna had grown up being misunderstood by most of her retainers, including her mother, and only a few people had been able to understand her.
Ginryu could understand the scope of her vision and why she did what she did because he knew her story.
But he didn't want her; to him, she seemed like a handful to deal with.
She had no particular traits that he wanted, so he decided to let Sagara Yoshiharu, the main character, have her.
During the funeral of her father, she lost control of her emotions and threw his ashes on a Buddha statue.
The reason for this was that she overheard some of the clan's retainers plotting against her, citing that her brother was more fit to be the new ruler.
They even approached Ginryu for his support during the funeral.
Ginryu, of course, evaded the topic through various means.
Nobukatsu, her brother, had instigated a rebellion two times prior, but she forgave him due to the pleading of her mother.
But now, this was going to be the third strike, and she couldn't take it anymore.
Of course, her actions came with repercussions as she lost a lot of support from the retainers of the clan.
But Ginryu stepped in and reassured her that he was still her ally as long as her ambition remained the same.
After the burial, Ginryu noticed that Inuchiyo and Goemon seemed uncomfortable about something.
It was very apparent, especially with Inuchiyo.
"What is it?" asked Inuchiyo.
"I... it's nothing," Inuchiyo replied.
"Sigh, I was going to leave you two here as a means of contact with the Oda clan, but I guess you are not feeling up to it," Ginryu said.
He was aware that they both still had ties to the Oda clan.
Goemon had most of her subordinates in the clan, while Inuchiyo treated Nobuna like an older sister.
Such bonds weren't easy to just suddenly cut off. So he decided to leave them both in the Oda clan for a while.
On one hand, this would let the original plot progress more smoothly.
Additionally, they could feed him information on what was going on within the clan.
Since it was his instruction for them to stay, they wouldn't be considered traitors by Nobuna.
His only restriction on them was to conceal their true abilities.
With that settled, Ginryu left the Oda clan for the time being.
Things were beginning to start for real, and there was a lot of money and fame to be earned from such an upcoming large-scale war by the Kemono merchant group.
2 months later.....
Sagara Yoshiharu, a second-year high school student, was panicking.
For some reason, he suddenly found himself standing right in the middle of a battlefield during the Warring States period.
'Wait, where am I? How did I get here?' Yoshiharu questioned.
Suddenly, the sound of horses galloping, guns roaring, the desperate screams of soldiers with long spears, and the metallic smell of blood soon assaulted his senses.
'This can't be real; it must be a movie setup or something,' Yoshiharu thought.
He simply refused to acknowledge such a reality as it was so unbelievable.
To the fighting soldier, Yoshiharu suddenly appeared in the middle of the battlefield wearing strange cloths which was his school uniform.
He was soon identified as a new enemy by foot soldiers of both opposing forces.
"Please wait," Yoshiharu said in an attempt to communicate, but the soldiers just attacked him with their long spears.
Yoshiharu found himself desperately dodging the spear aimed to take his life. Yoshiharu, despite being average in everything, had just one special ability, which was dodging balls.
This uncanny ability was what was keeping him alive as it helped him evade the incoming spears.
This left the soldiers shocked at his evasive abilities. Yoshiharu knew that he couldn't continue evading like this, so he shouldered his bag and ran up a hill.
"What a realistic Lucid dream," Yoshiharu muttered, still disillusioned that this was all just a dream.
The soldier didn't waste any time and began pursuing Yoshiharu. While he fled, he began to wonder if this truly was a dream.
He could feel the tiredness of his breath, the aching of his muscles, and the information from his senses felt all too real.
