Chapitre 200: Bad Vibes III

I look to M'rissi, "Come along, Kitten, time for a little moonlight stroll." I say with a wink as I wrap my arm around her shoulder and start heading off into the woods.

"Fluffy!" M'rissi exclaims in feigned indignation as she looks up at me pretending to try and slip from my embrace, before I pull her close letting her nestle into my neck as we start walking out of camp.

{Oh, they're definitely going to fuck.} Mr. Dragonfly buzzes.

"Mr. Dragonfly, it is rude to state the obvious like that." Inigo says incredulously.

"I can hear you, two." I shout as we head off towards the abandoned shack as Wanan-Dun looks over to Inigo.

"What did he hear?" Wanan-Dun asks as I continue out of earshot.

We walk together for several minutes in silence, before I see the shack in the distance and M'rissi's nose starts to twitch as she exclaims, "Fluffy! She smells the earthy scent of the notes from that sewer-dwelling scoundrel! Quickly!"

M'rissi rush into the abandoned shack where a pale blue ghostly figure appears to be resting in a chair, staring at some ants crawling across the floor before noticing our arrival.

"Thank the gods! This one is bored to death! Being a ghost leaves much to be desired... In fact, this one was talking with butterflies not long ago... Speaking of, there's a beautiful specimen here, one very fond of ectoplasm... But this one hasn't seen it for some time and he starts to worry... Sigh... It seems more and more alchemists are robbing butterflies of their wings for their potions. Quite sad, is it not? Are you by chance an alchemist? Now this one has taken to studying the ants, out of boredom." The Khajiit ghost ponders aloud, as if talking to me through a stream of his consciousness, rather than actually attempting a coherent coonversation, with how his thoughts meander around.

"No, I'm not much of an alchemist at the moment. Though, there is a certain dragonfly whose wings I've been tempted to pluck on more than one occasion." I say, mumbling the latter half beneath my breathe.

"That is good. The butterfly has as much right to live as you and... Your companion, who seems familiar, no?" The old Khajiit starts to say, before remembering he is dead once again.

"But look at you two, such a vibrant and lovely young couple... So full of life, unfulfilled wishes and dreams yet to come... What can this old khajit help you with? There is little someone in my state has to offer." The old Khajiit says somewhat wistfully.

"Speaking of my lovely companion-" I start to say before the old Khajiit interupts me.

"This one... Recognizes her aura, come here, kitten... Let this one get a better look at you." The old Khajiit beckons to M'rissi from his chair.

M'rissi looks to me for reassurance, and despite someone else calling my girl, Kitten, I nod in support. Readying my self just in case the ghost decides to try something.

M'rissi sighs in relief before stepping closer to the old Khajiit.

"Do... Do you truly recognize her?" M'rissi asks hopefully.

"Hmmm... This ring, where did you get it?" The old Khajiit asks back after studying M'rissi more closely.

"She... She does not know... She has no memories of before, only her belongings and..." M'rissi pauses for a moment before continuing as she gently rubs the front of her lether armor, "And what her Fluffy has given her."

"This is the ring of Ri'Virr, young kitten! It was lost during the clan uprisings!" The old Khajiit exclaims in a joyous shock.

"We've read as much in your old notes, but what was that about an aura you recognized, earlier?" I ask the old Khajiit.

"Yes, do you recognize her or not?" M'rissi asks insistently.

"This one is sorry, kitten... Their memories are muddled, but this one remembers that they used to be her clan's memory keeper, one who passes knowledge from the last generation to the next, a Lorekeeper. But the chain was broken when this one died." The Lorekeeper says with a wistful, crestfallen look as he stares at M'rissi.

"Please... Is there nothing you can tell her about her connection to the ring? We have travelled so far..." M'rissi pleads to the Lorekeeper.

"Luckily, the ring is here now, so there's still hope! And for her aura... It is that of M'rissi, the daughter of Ra'Sadir!" The Lorekeeper exclaims passionately.

"Ra'Sadir? The traitor to his clan?" I ask, perplexed as to his apparent joy at finding the daughter of his clan's greatest betrayer.

"He was no traitor! He loved his brother very much, and gave much to ensure the clan's survival! It seems you have not paid enough attention to the story!" The Lorekeeper chastises me before elaborating, "Did you know that the group he helped to escape was women and children?"

"The clan couldn't hold out and he knew it..." I say as flashes from my past enter my mind...

I see orc warriors brandishing blades and axes, their dark, primal oricalcum armor clashing with the golden, artistic Thalmor warriors and mages...

My tribe quickly cuts through their warriors like a hot knife through butter, but as they approch the rear force of mages, arrows rain forth from the sides of the battle, flanking our warriors and allowing the mages to bombard the main force...

I was watching the battle in horror from one of the ramparts along our stronghold's walls when a second group comprized of a variety of humans broke in from the camp's undefended rear gate and begin to round up the elderly, women, children, injured men, and anyone else who couldn't properly fight back.

Using nets and spears to capture anyone who tries to flee, before throwing us in chains and carting us away in cages... It takes all of my strength just to get thrown into the same cage as my sister, only to be knocked out by one of the slavers.

(Hey everyone, sorry for the slight delay, on vacation and my phone decided to get on the wrong side of the CIA and was subjected to "Enhanced Interrogation Techniques".,. It was waterboarded.,. Ie, it went into the pool.)
