Chapitre 1: Graduation to Disaster (UPDATE)

Growing up, Lucien Mitsuki Ashbourne was under the sweet illusion that his family was the ideal next-door neighbors' kind until a teacher from elementary school mocked him for being "trash of the society."

It makes him question himself, remembering all the "weird" things that happened to him, thanks to his family.

One day, when he was an eleven-year-old boy, Lucien's father, Cassius Ashbourne, took him along for his usual gig, settling scores with another group.

As he stood there, holding a flashlight while Cassius was busy chopping up an enemy corpse, he barked, "Hold that damn light straight, Lucien! This was supposed to be a simple job, how could you fail at this? You're an embarrassment for this family! Get that damned light straight, damn it!"

"I'm sorry, Dad, I'm sorry..."

So, like any "regular" kid, Lucien shed tears. Not because of the gruesome scene or the blood everywhere, but because his blood-covered dad was scolding him.

Lucien's mother, Amane Ashbourne, while not as explosive as his father, had her own distinctive quirks.

As a teenager yearning for normalcy, Lucien sought refuge in his room, burying himself in books and dreaming of a college escape from the chaotic life at home.

Yet, normalcy dodged Lucien where his mother was in the picture. One day, she brought him to a love hotel that absolutely gave him PTSD.

What did his mom want from him? His mind was a mess; she was eccentric, but this was next level!

"Get out, Lucy," Amane ordered, knocking on the window car.

"No way, Mom! What's your plan?" he yelled.

"Just get the hell out, or I'll stab you!"

Defiantly, Lucien resisted leaving. He instinctively wanted to call his father, but before he could reach his phone, a loud noise erupted.

The door next to him was destroyed as Amane yanked it off its hinges, dragging him forcefully into a love hotel.

This woman was beyond crazy!

Lucien tried to scream, but Amane silenced him with a sock. No one dared to intervene; they cleared a path for her, and he reluctantly let her pull him along.

They halted at a room. She opened it, locked him in, and vanished. Confused, Lucien found two naked women in bed. Groaning, he banged on the door, demanding an explanation.

"Mom, seriously? I'm still a minor!" he protested.

"What? This is your birthday gift from me! You're 18 years old, so lose your virginity so I can call you Lucien, alright?"

Apparently, this is what she called a birthday party surprise.

Lucien heard her footsteps fade as he kept banging. Suddenly, two women joined in. Caught off guard, he went with it. Surprisingly, not too bad.

And that's the peculiar tale of how Lucien lost his virginity at 18. Oddly, Amane still hasn't switched to calling him Lucien.

He also has a big sister, Seren Satsuki Ashbourne, who was a distant memory and lost touch since high school. All Lucien knew was that she cherished her phone more than she ever did him.

As it turned out, Lucien's teacher wasn't far off – their family, the Ashbourne family, was indeed deeply entrenched in the world of the mafia.

For his teacher, they were freaks. That remark haunted Lucien's life to the point he became obsessed with being "normal".

In the haze of distant memories, a tap on Lucien's shoulder jolted him from daydreams.

"Lucien, can we take a photo together?" A woman, draped in black academic regalia, beamed at him.

Midway through his college graduation at 22, miles away from his family, Lucien casually agreed with a "Sure, why not?"

Unfamiliar with her name, he simply smiled as she happily posed with him. His unintended reputation for a "beautiful face and gentle personality" led to more impromptu photo requests.

He had been building that reputation for as long as he could, being "normal" was bliss, and he didn't need to lower his head if someone mocked him.

After the mini photo shoot, Lucien found solace on a bench, observing friends capturing moments with their families.

Today was undeniably beautiful; all the graduates gathered in the field post-ceremony. The vastness of the college building struck Lucien as he absorbed the scene.

But more than that, he was relieved his eccentric parents weren't present; their distinct appearance could turn things chaotic.

Observing a family in the distance, a striking resemblance to Lucien's caught his eye. The woman in a bomber jacket adorned with a dragon motif and a katana by her side shared features like black hair and red eyes – an uncanny resemblance to his mother.

The man donned a white suit and sporting a hat that concealed his blonde hair, resembled his father. The sharp jaw and piercing blue eyes that once scared Lucien as a child were unmistakable.

The younger woman, seemingly his sister, was immersed in her phone with her blonde hair and red eyes.

As they approached, a sudden realization hit Lucien – they weren't just doppelgangers; they were indeed his family!

How did they know today was his graduation? He never mentioned it to them at all. He never even called them when he was in college.

Suddenly, his dad sprinted toward him. Panic set in. Should Lucien run? Before he could decide, Cassius had him in a tight embrace.

"Lucien, I'm proud of you, son!" he exclaimed, smacking Lucien's back with a force that made breathing a challenge.

Lucien could feel the concealed weaponry and every imaginable weapon that could fit into that suit – it was hard and, of course, heavy.

"Father... stop... hugging me," Lucien managed to wheeze.

"Why are you so embarrassed? You used to love being carried on my back and always wanted hugs as a child!" Cassius finally released his iron grip.

"Really? You once smacked me in the head because I called you daddy," Lucien retorted, crossing his arms, though he knew his father smack was a gentle one.

"Who calls their father 'daddy'? You're not my mistress, are you?" Cassius furrowed his brows, and Lucien couldn't help but roll his eyes at his unique brand of parenting.
