Chapitre 14: 14. Biased Mother
Sirzechs was a little annoyed as he was doing the paperwork. As for the reason for his discomfort, of course, it was his mother's unreasonable demands.
His mother's recent request threw a wrench into all of his careful plans. Sirzechs massaged his head as he thought about the headaches he might have to deal with once he agreed to his mother's request.
And his carefully crafted plan to obtain the loyalty of younger Nekoshou for his little Rias might also be affected. All in all his mother's request had zero gains and a shit ton of trouble, and he wondered why his mother was so adamant in sticking to her decision.
Sirzechs was thinking of convincing his mother to give up, but as a communication magic circle lit up near his ear his face changed drastically.
Before Sirzechs could say anything he heard his mother's serious voice from the other end causing him to awaken some childhood memories of being punished by his mother. Sirzechs shivered a little and swallowed nervously as waited with bated breath for what his mother was about to say.
No way was he going to offend his mother, he Sirzechs may be a Satan but there were two people in his life he feared offending. One his mother and the other his wife, forgive him but he doesn't wish to sleep on the couch nor does he wish to offend the person who taught him everything valuable in life and made Sirzechs Gremory the man that he is.
Sirzechs had a high suspicion that his mother was hiding her strength to not deal with troublesome matters, it was only natural for him to think like that. A more than a millennium-old devil who never stopped training.
He himself was only a few centuries old, but his mother was alive during the time of the original Lucifer, she participated in the great war and came out alive. His mother was a thousand-year-old devil who spent centuries honing her skills, Sirzechs couldn't help but shiver a little as he thought about it, he was so used to seeing his mother as.....well... his mother that he forgot who she truly was.
No wonder she didn't take kindly to his father going behind her back to screw his maids, a woman as prideful as his mother accepted to marry his father who certainly was trash (Sorry father ) and did his father expect his mother to let him fool around, he should feel lucky that mother didn't rip out his head....

"Sirzechs, I won't say much, but tomorrow I should receive the news of Kuroka being cleared of any criminal charges and any bounties against her should be removed. If the old man starts jumping around then you just show him a little bit of the dirt I'm going to send you~, that will shut him up for some time~" Venelana's relaxed voice was heard as she stated her purpose to Sirzechs who just listened to everything without interrupting.
Sirzechs who heard everything just sighed inside his mind, he knew if he didn't do what his mother asked of him then she would have it done herself.
But he didn't wish for that to happen as he didn't want a rift to form between them, and if his mother personally handled this matter then it would be much messier. So looking at it from a personal and political way it would be much more advantageous if he did it himself, the only drawback would be some more paperwork in the forms of complaints and some other diplomatic stuff, but nothing he couldn't handle.
" Yes, Mother " Sirzechs replied tiredly
" Good boy~" Venelana's serious tone was gone as she replied in a much chirpier tone.
Sirzechs had a wry smile as he saw the instant shift in the demeanour of his mother, although it was a bit annoying this was one of the few times his mother made a request to him, so as her son it was only right for him to do help her.
Unlike his father who heavily used his influence to expand the Gremory power, he didn't know how many times his father requested his help in smoothing out some deals so that they would work in favour of the Gremory household.
It wasn't like it was something illegal, just some use of power and a little favouritism, it wasn't blatant favouritism so others couldn't complain but just him securing some deals and promoting the development of major business while their main headquarters would be in the Gremory Domain.
In a way, it wasn't just because of his father's words that he helped the Gremory but also for his little sister who would be the Lady of The Gremory House, thus making the Gremory house prosperous meant he was helping out his sister.
And being the certified sis-con he was, how could he not do something to secure the future for his little Rias....

Venelana ended the call with a satisfied smile on her face, she was pleased that Sirzechs was still obedient and wasn't rebellious.
She felt the curious gaze of Grayfia and turned towards her
"It's done~ Sirzechs would see to it, and if he doesn't then I'll just do it myself~" Venelana said in a happy tone as she smiled brightly at Grayfia just like a child who got her way.
Grayfia's lips twitched as she gazed at Venelana, her big sister truly was childish sometimes....
