Chapitre 79: Chapter 79: Making drying platform and Barbecue with the boys
After lunch and cleaning up, the siblings rest a while in the living room. At 1.00 pm, Bai Yi Chen stood up and planned to go to the village to talk withHead Village Li while the siblings had fall asleep.
Bai Yi Yang also feels like she doesn't have much time to spare. She head to the farm with her tools and start plowing on the clean area. She finished plowing the small clear area before proceeding with digging the tree roots from when to cut trees for the second time.
After finishing all that, Bai Yi Chen also came, it was already passed 2.00 pm, so Bai Yi Yang finally start her chainsaw while Bai Yi Chen start plowing the area where she just remove the tree roots from.
There were rain yesterday, so the plowing work is easier since the soil is softer. Bai Yi Yang let him do so, she then quickly cut the trees in the area. Today, she planned to cut them off first before making planks or boards from it. The urgent thing now is to expand their farm.
Bai Yi Yang cut until 3.00 pm, she has cut up a huge area, it looks like a new place now. Only after feeling satisfied, she then proceed with removing the small branches and the trees is left with logs. Then she choose the bigger one to make boards and the smaller one as planks.
While she was repeating the measure, mark and cut process, she was thinking that they cannot continue bringing in this logs into the house, she should build a drying platform for the mushrooms and then below, they can make it as a shade and also to put all these logs below it. Bai Yi Yang think that this is a good idea.
After finishing up a 1 hour worth of making woods, she immediately put down her chainsaw and went to the area at the right side of the farm. On the left side, she planned to not plant anything since she is going to connect the road from their house to this area and then to the top of the mountain. This is the plan, she already made a sketch in her head.
Bai Yi Yang then measure a 2x3 meter platform with 1.5 m height. She mark the 4 sides on the ground and went to measure 3 more in a row. She planned to make 4 wooden platform in total.
"YangYang, what are you making?" Bai Yi Chen ask. He is sweating profusely, he was digging the tree stump that Bai Yi Yang just cut off.
"Making a mushroom drying place. Ge, you stop with digging the tree stump and help me with this. I already make a mark, make a hole about 20 cm depth in each of these mark. I will go cut the wood." Bai Yi Yang said. Bai Yi Chen nod.
Well, this won't be much different than digging a tree stump. She estimate the depth with his arm and start digging.
Bai Yi Yang is already cutting the planks with the measurements as they are needed to make the frame of the structure, then she also cut the board as the floor of the platform. Her brain is calculating how much does she need for each platform. The drying platform doesn't have to be pretty and smooth like the furniture she is making for their house, as long as they are sturdy, that will be enough.
When Bai Yi Yang finished cutting what she need, Bai Yi Chen is also done. While Bai Yi Yang return to the workshop to take the nails, Bai Yi Chen bring the cut woods to the area they are making the platform.
"Ge, be strong! We will stop at 6 pm. Alright?" She said. Bai Yi Chen laugh and nod, he is a bit tired but if he stop now an let Bai Yi Yang work alone, he won't feel good too.
After that, Bai Yi Yang start making the frame, Bai Yi Chen help her hold onto it while she knock in the nails. Bai Yi Chen was amazed with her accuracy and strength. Only three hit and it was fully in. This is why their speed is very fast, Bai Yi Chen is only the helper to stabilise and Bai Yi Yang work very fast. What more, this thing only need to be strong and sturdy, no need to look pretty.
One frame then the next one until they finished the last frame. Now, it won't take long to to finish since they only need to nail in the board and the platform will be done.

Both of them then tidy up, Bai Yi Yang just bring her tools in, she just let the woods lay around on the ground, tomorrow she will continue with this.
Bai Yi Chen went to cover the mushrooms and they both return inside. They had promised to have a barbecue outside so Bai Yi Ling and the rest is actually already starting the fire in the middle of the yard.
"You two are finally are back. We thought we wouldn't have a barbecue tonight." Bai Yi Mo said.
With the three of the Bai siblings are Shitou, Xiao Bao and the bucket boy. Well, she should stop calling him bucket boy, he is from the Wang family, nickname Wu Zi.
"Hello Yang jiejie, Chen dage." The three boys greet the twin.
"Jiejie, gege. Today I want to bring them to sleep here, their parents already know." Bai Yi Mo said.
"En, as long as they know." Bai Yi Chen agree. Bai Yi Yang also doesn't mind, Bai Yi Mo is a bright kid, he knows who he can bring home and who cannot. The three boys is big, they can take care of themselves, so it's fine to let them sleep here.
"Let your gege light the fire first, Xiao Ling come into the kitchen to help me." Bai Yi Yang said.
Today, they will be making steak kebabs, barbecue fish and also eggplants. Bai Yi Yang clean herself a bit before entering the kitchen.
Bai Yi Yang first cut the colourful vegetables which is green, yellow and red capsicum, leek and red onion. Then she cut the beef steak into cubes and demonstrate how to make a skewer. The children immediately understand and start making their own skewers following Bai Yi yang example.
Bai Yi Ling and Bai Yi Fang joined her in the kitchen, and also two boys which is Shitou and Wu Zi. Bai Yi Mo and Xiao Bao stay outside with Bai Yi Chen. Bai Yi Chen is already barbecuing the eggplants, Bai Yi Yang just need to give him the sauce now. After that, Bai Yi Yang marinate the mackerel, they are going to grill it over fire.
After the preparations, they all step outside and start the barbecue for real. Of course, the master of barbecue which is Bai Yi Chen is the one who is doing most of the job. TongTong doesn't want to lose and joined them sitting around the fire to drool over the meat and fish. Actually, Bai Yi Yang was thinking of adding some sausages too, but it will be too much food since she made a lot of kebabs, they may not be able to finish it.
All of them are sitting on a wooden stool around the fire pit as they help Bai Yi Chen do the barbecuing job. Bai Yi Yang only use simple seasoning and also barbecue sauce on the kebabs, they smells really good though.
When it was almost done, Shitou volunteered to go scoop the rice. But he ended up calling Bai Yi Mo because he cannot find the rice pot.
"You fool, I told you it was the black one on the counter." Bai Yi Mo still stood up and follow him into the kitchen. This cause laughter to everyone.
When they taste the food, the three boys looks like hungry ghost who never seen food. Actually, they all are a bit hungry, in the village, dinner usually start early, what more, the food is really too delicious.
"This is too delicious, no wonder Xiao Mo said that he ate delicious food everyday." Wu Zi said.
"When my mom cook meat, it cannot even compare to this." Xiao Bao add.
"You dare said that, just now you were using Fang Fang so that your mom agree to let you follow us." Bai Yi Mo said. The children immediately laugh at Xiao Bao.
As usual, TongTong have a share and when TongTong start eating the vegetables, the boys was shocked.
"TongTong eats vegetables too?" They ask.
"TongTong is like us, she eat soup, eat ice cream, eat fruits.." Bai Yi Fang said, telling the boys about TongTong and the two puppies. The puppies is more normal, but TongTong weird appetite really amused the boys.
After that, they are too busy to talk much and they ate until they are full.
"My stomach is bursting.." Shitou said as he hold onto his stomach. He said that but when the ice cream and cut fruits come out, he still stuffed himself like he hadn't eat. They all ends up like pregnant lady who have difficulty waking up from sitting.
"We will wash the dish.." The boys volunteer.
"Alright, you all take you time.." Bai Yi Yang stood up and ask her two sisters to take a bath first. Bai Yi Chen also went to take a bath in the West house.
Bai Yi Yang clean up a little bit, she put the unfinished ingredients into the fridge but left the dishes into the sink. Let the 4 boys outside do them later.
After seeing that her sisters has finished bathing, she also went to take a bath. When she come out, the boys is still in the kitchen, washing the dishes as if they are partying. Bai Yi Yang let them be.
After she finished changing, she ask Bai Yi Ling if she had already tidy up her school bag for tomorrow. Bai Yi Ling smile and nod
"What are you wearing tomorrow? It's your first day, you must dress prettily." Bai Yi Yang said.
"That.." Bai Yi Ling is hesitant. She wanted to wear the blue and pink checkered pattern dress her sister bought for her but afraid that it is too much just to go to school.
"Er jiejie dress is pretty, I like the blue and pink one." Bai Yi Fang comment.
"I like it too.." Bai Yi Ling said.
"Then wear it. Our Xiao Ling is pretty, you will look very good." Bai Yi Yang said.
Bai Yi Ling blush and nod. Bai Yi Yang then take out the dress, show it to Bai Yi Ling to confirm if this is the one she wants to wear. Which Bai Yi Ling nod in response.
Bai Yi Yang plug in the clothes steamer and pour water in the water compartment. The children had been curious about this item since yesterday but Bai Yi Yang only said that it is similar to iron, they don't know what is an iron too. So today she can finally show them how to do it.
"It's really work. This side looks neater that this side now." Bai Yi Ling said.
"What are you all doing?" Bai Yi Chen look from outside.
"Steaming the clothes." Bai Yi Yang said.
"Now, Xiao Ling you try it." Bai Yi Yang push the off button and hand over the handle to Bai Yi Ling.
"Turn it on and just move it like this?" Bai Yi Ling do like what her sister did and it really works.
"It's interesting.." Bai Yi Chen said before coming closer to watch too.
"I won't help iron your clothes in the future so you learn too." Bai Yi Yang said to him. Bai Yi Chen laugh and nod. He also join and they ends up ironing their school uniforms too as a practice.
"See this water here? Don't let it run out, when they finish must add in more water, understand?" She said.
"En." The three including Bai Yi Fang nod. When they finished with that, they all step outside to the living room.
